Lol I cannot afford 6S or 6S plus.. Wanted to ask something. If there is anyone wanted to exchange their 6 ,who don't like the big screen and want back the 5S, (screen matters alot) with 5S Gold 16GB is warmly welcomed.. iPhone to iPhone exchange!!

You think your phone is old? Im still using a 3GS as my daily driver. :D Just replaced the screen and soon the battery. (It doesnt quite need a new one yet, but its getting there) That should add another 5+ years to its lifespan ;)

That is impressive. About 5 or 6 months ago I seen someone is a gas station talking on a razr, the flip phone.

Long live the 3.5 inch iPhones!

The non-S models are generally a much smaller internal upgrades from the S models that precede them. So is that to say that no model at all is significant enough of an upgrade?

Right generally a much smaller upgrade not significant enough for ME. I'm only speaking on my personal experience.

Smartphones are fast reaching the point where the phone you currently own will be good enough to use for 5 years. The more powerful they become the less likely the average user will see a need to pay for an upgrade.

Cripes no. The occasional model is good for a few years but some you need to shelve within 12 months (the 6+ for example).

Depends to me what is in the works. I wanted a larger screen and am happy in that respect.

Better front camera optics would be nice.

Usually I am ready for every Iphone upgrade, but this September I will definitely be on the sidelines. I really like my Iphone 6. I put an AirCharge wireless charging case on it and I really can't see anything that Apple will do in September that will make me purchase a new Iphone. Force touch, a better processor, even slightly better screen resolution just don't do it for me. I think they will probably sell a lot of Iphone 6S, but not nearly as many as the Iphone 6.
They will have to do a Complete redo. wireless charging, MICO SD slot, new Screen ETC

For the first time in a long time, I'm satisfied with all my apple hardware (iPad Air 2, iPhone 6, MacBook Air and even the Apple TV) - if anything it's iOS I'm fed up of, and I'm having my annual "hmm Android looks fresh and interesting" thoughts, before remembering that I hated using Android.

I'm on the S cycle. I might have jumped to the 6 last year if they'd done the smaller version. Now that it seems they're done with the small ones for good, I'll go to the 6S cause I'm ready to upgrade. Two years seems to be a long time with one phone!

I hear ya. I have moved to the upgrade every year cycle myself. :)

I want a 4" screen, then I will probably give my current 6 to a family member. This is only if a 4inch 6S is announced. If that does not happen, no point in upgrading, until the 7 comes out, at which point I'm due for an upgrade.

I'm on the AT&T Next 18 month plan, so I plan on turning in my leased 6+ for the 6S+ and so on/so forth annually from here on out. I've yet to miss an iPhone model except the 5C, and don't plan to start now.

I'm on an iPhone 5 right now. Bought it 2 months before the 5S was a thing. Ended my 2 year contract, now on a super cheap sim-only monthly plan. So I'll use the 5 for a little while longer and wait what the 6S brings to the table.

Got an Android instead of 5S and I sorely miss the iPhone. Will be getting the 6S+. I'm thinking force touch, ram, and camera upgrade will make this a solid purchase. For me 5S was just finger print which at the time was very meh for me.

I am on an non S cycle. I might upgrade if I think it's worth it. My brother & brother in-law are on
my phone plan and have basic phones, they never upgrade, so I can use their upgrades and pay
contract price with Verizon. On the other hand, I may just buy it full retail from the apple store and
keep it month to month, and have an unlocked phone.

If one looks forward to September depends on your current phone and your location.

I got both my 4S and 5S within a month after the launch. I'm looking forward to the 6S and will probably buy one. I don't have a phone with my contract so a chance is easily done.

But there's a big BUT: there are a couple of features, that can't be used here (in Germany). Not sure, if ApplePay is supported here, but it's not common to use a credit card for small amounts. So the whole "easy paying" thing is useless.
Or take wifi calling. Really a great feature, but no german carrier supports it or will in the future.

I'll say I am looking forward to (hopefully) September. My 4s will be 4 years old come November. I haven't minded having the same phone for, what now is 3.5 years. It works, I just wish I had 128gb of storage and a faster processor. I will say my 4s has been a testament that Apple products last. Not even my Nextel phones lasted this long. I hope my next iPhone will last nearly 4 years as well. :apple:
When I had an IPhone 4 I was so happy with it I kept it through the release of the 4s and the 5. I upgraded to the 5s and haven't been satisfied enough with an iPhone to want to skip an upgrade cycle since.

I like my 6Plus better than my 5s with its horrible battery life. But if the 6s comes with an improved screen, OIS like the Plus has, and an improved battery and 2GB of RAM I'm all for it. If not, I guess I'll stay with the Plus size for the S upgrade. I'm not thrilled with the honking huge size of the Pluses but during a recent week-long trip on the road and in the air, I came to appreciate and prize that battery!

Waiting for September 2016.... Iphone 7 will be a BIG upgrade...NEW DESIGN, thats what I WANT...not the SAME DESIGN with better specs.... like the Iphone 6S .. 6+ is a excellent phone..., Also, non S models is MORE COOL ... Iphone 7 with IOS 10, A10 CHIP!!!!! CANT WAIT!!!!!!!! Next year, will be a BIG UPRADE TO IPHONE

Got a new 5S in April after using 4 for 3 years and 9 months. Although screen seems a bit too small for today's standard, I am hoping to hold onto my current 5S as long as possible unless Apple introduces crazy new features (battery that lasts 2 days, waterproofing, etc)

I see where you are coming from, but would like to see what Apple announces before I decide if it's worth it to upgrade.
I usually skip the S upgrades, but I'm starting to rethink with the safari tab refreshes and the Tapatalk refreshes I keep running into. A RAM increase is overdue.
