New iPhone needs a larger screen to ratio estate, the top and bottom bezel space is way to wide and ugly.

IPhone 6 not even in the top 30.

That means getting rid of the home button, so a redesign would be needed. Apple doesn't do that on -s devices.

With the rumored Force Touch hardware going to iDevices though it could mean that the home button becomes obsolete and you return home simply by using a Force Touch gesture. Allows for Apple to get rid of the huge chin.

Apple giving you more and charging less is *highly* unlikely.
With that logic the iPod Touch shouldn't exist. Instead of charging $100 for an upgrade from 16 to 32 GB they "only" charge you 50$ more. Of course, doubling that adds $100 to the 32GB's price, but those are 2012 prices. It sort of made sense back then. Now it doesn't.

I would get a 6S for force touch alone... That will change the whole dynamic of IOS.

If the rumors about the camera, ram, and force touch are true... Regardless of the phone looking the same... The 6S will be a very significant upgrade...

More ram could also mean that the 6s or 6s plus gets a limited version of slide-over multitasking.

And apple is not likely to get rid of the home button anytime soon... Even with force touch... It also houses the touch ID sensor which they are not getting rid of

My iPhone 6 is the first device I've had that is (to my eyes) perfect - except for the camera. I am completely satisfied and find myself less excited for the fall.

The iPhone 6 camera uses over aggressive noise reduction, but now that I have a DSLR I find I use the iPhone camera less, so it isn't a huge deal.

Couple of things I'd like to see on the 6S

1080P display
12MP rear camera (at least)
OIS
5MP front camera
14nm A9 SOC
32GB entry storage
2GB or more of RAM

That would raise my pulse a bit.

Next year , I will be excited to September!, , will be a huge upgrade, in design, better force touch than the 6s., and I hope no bezels on the ip 7., and a even better screen !

The bold has to happen. I'm getting really tired of some of the performance hiccups due to RAM.

I would bet the entry storage doesn't increase. When the levels are 16 64 128, the 64 is most tempting, IMHO. Most people are realizing 16 GB isn't enough space.

I can't help myself, I always look forward to new iPhone announcements. I've had every iPhone except the 1st gen. And despite every year trying to tell myself I don't need to upgrade, every year I do. It's an addiction, never had an iPhone longer than a year and I doubt that'll change.

I am completely satisfied with my 6+. Iv'e loved all my iPhones but the 6+ is my daily driver for almost everything - I seriously love it.

Having said that, 2 gigs of RAM would be nice and I think force touch would be a superb addition. I am likely to upgrade to the 6s plus if these are included.

Also, I get excited for any Apple event!

NO, hardware is OK, camera and build quality, however software is another story.

I briefly had a Lumia, forget which one, for a few days. It was a moment of madness, I'm a tech addict. Anyway, other than the fact I hated the interface, I thought they did a good job of making a lightweight, fast and fluid operating system.

Lightweight, fast and fluid operating system is correct but too many animations for my taste. Biggest problem is apps, many apps are missing and quality is not great.

I always get the newest model, but I am really scratching my head here thinking what can be improved other than ram or maybe the camera etc.

Also does anyone think there might be a new color scheme on the S? The 5 --> 5S brought space gray and gold, but if they continue with these 3 colors they will look exactly like the iphone 6. I for one would love a black model!

If they bought a black phone and dark UI, i'm sold.

It was confirmed by Verizon Wireless that there is employee blackout dates at the end of August 20-30, therefore not September, but AUGUST...

Exactly ..
Get ready for iP7 in next year ..
I prefer to stay with 6+ , worth more wait for the ip7..Ip7 will be a HUGE UPGRADE from the 6s... S are not worth the upgrade forthe people who already own an non S.. FORCE TOUCH is nice , and 2gb is nice... but no design change??no worth the upgrade, if Apple wont change the design

Having put up with a Sony Xperia Z1 that is falling to pieces for the last year and a half (don't ask :D) I'm certainly more than ready to have an iphone again and I'm holding out now for the S, although I will likely then sell it the year after and move off the "s cycle".

Being someone that changes phones all the time and switching from HTC to  and vice versa, I will definitely get the iPhone 6S. My wish list:
  • FullHD display
  • Better speakers
  • More RAM
