I always wondered about these cases... They are rugged, but u can only get an iphone in... it won't come out .... ever. Perhaps they're not designed to come out... Would make more sense if they offer "protection"

The UAG case I have is a pliable rubber so it pops off the phone easily. I don't know about the one being pictured. It does look like a beast to remove.

I don't understand everyone's hate obsession with this tiny area at the top which is necessary to house these items. It seems there is always something on every iPhone edition that people absolutely hate at first and learn to live with it just fine.

I'm okay with this indention/space/minute void/small black spot. It's a very small price to pay for so much screen real estate.

I'm really just trying to figure out why everyone is making such a big deal about it that's all.

I think it looks okay, but Apple has patents for hiding the camera and speaker under the display. I'm a tiny bit disappointed that it looks like we won't see that implemented in this phone.

So for folks bashing on the design saying Apple screwed up the design if it needs a case like this, or that the case designers screwed up making an ugly case, stop and think that the case isn't meant to be a permanent fixture. It's an accessory. An accessory is something meant to enhance something else for a given situation or function.

I wasn't bashing the design of the phone. I kind of like it and all we see are bare parts not the total vision so it should only get better. But the case is ugly. I didn't realize it was suppose to be ruggedized. Ruggedized cases are always ugly. It's the nature of the beast. They aren't suppose to be good looking, they are suppose to be phone-saving. But if it's an every day case it's ugly. No way to dance around it.

I still don't get the obsession with making the top and bottom bezels go away. For what? The phone is still the same width, you have a tiny bit more screen vertically, is that really worth losing a home button (and probably Touch ID) and having this weird indentation for the camera(s) etc? I guess Apple and others think so. I don't.

I don't either. I also don't really like devices with little to no bezel. They are more difficult to hold without touching the screen accidentally. Very inconvenient if I'm trying to hold the device to take pictures, watch YouTube, Netflix, etc.

Plus I've got this nagging feeling that the device will get very hot like the Samsung Edge devices do (For me at least).

I have an iPhone 8 in a protective case too.

Not trying to be anti-progress, but in my opinion the border radius on the display looks sloppy

Plus this may produce finger fatigue as the entire front being a display won't allow you to rest your fingers when holding the screen. I like to hold my thumb on the home button when using it, allows me to hold and balance it.

I'd much rather have 90 degree angles for the display.

better battery better battery better battery

Home room wireless charging - like walk about your house charge all day.

PS: Looking at the iPhone 4/4S/5/5S/6/6S/7's front camera's all have a blue hue. So is it just me thinking I'm looking at 2 front camera's on this long rumored iPhone 8 or am I missing something here? Their both on left side while the sensors could be to the right of the speaker grill.

That case is only on it because they don't know what the sides look like.

Yeah. Is there a problem?

Yes. Your definition of massive...

mas·sive
ˈmasiv/
adjective
adjective: massive
  1. 1.
    large and heavy or solid.
    "a massive rampart of stone"
    synonyms: huge, enormous, vast, immense, large, big, mighty, great, colossal, tremendous, prodigious, gigantic, gargantuan, mammoth, monstrous, monumental, giant, towering, elephantine, mountainous, titanic;

*This "indentation" is hardly massive in any opinion.
