my biteSMS started crashing on me all of a sudden..

wonder if its to do with notified pro..

In the mail settings of notified pro I only have 'log notifications' as clickable, and show in lock screen and springboard are grayed out.
How can I get it to show email notifications?

Email notifications never showed up on springboard or on lockscreen.

having log notifications on means it notified will show you via whatever plugins you have set up.

so, if you want notified to include email notifications, you're already set.

You cant. Because the Mail app does not support the pop up notifications..

I was using the grip plugin in cydia and it was working well for email notifications, but it the notifications would start at the bottom and block the slide to unlock area requiring you to close the notification before you can unlock the device...

What's the best plugin you recommend for email notifications?

Im using the statusbar (non scrolling) one currently works well. I guess they have one where it scrolls on your statusbar..

Im waiting for the statusbar icons thats gonna be my number 1 for sure if they would only release it already!

Works perfectly...except for the fact that I have to hard reboot my 3GS every time the notification window slides down and slides back up. Locks up hard without fail. Really wish this would work as I love it...but I'm removing it for now to avoid it crashing anything else on my phone.

The majority of the people are waiting for that statusbar icon release.. I wish they would just release it already!

Bug in every version that I've submitted but I have no idea if anyone else has the issue.

Here's how I can reproduce it in any app on my iPhone 4. Please test and let me know if anyone else has this issue.

Open the stock SMS app or the Bite SMS app
Goto the main Messages screen
Swipe down to bring up the info shade
With no alerts touch right under the AT&T signal bars inside the info shade
You should see at the bottom of the screen the red circle with the white line through it.

By touching the INFO SHADE I'm actually pressing the edit button in the SMS app behind it. So my finger pressing is actually bleeding through the info shade.

Does anyone else have this issue? I've had it since the first release and every one since.

The issue happens in any app BUT the home screen.

This happened to me in a couple of apps actually. Also I noticed that I could have the info shade pulled down, doing stuff on it, and the screen locks. As if the phone doesnt know, that I'm using it. I know that it has autolock within a certain time but I'm actually doing something on the infoshade and the phone locks.

I think overall the app is great but with many issue that need to be refined and cleaned out. I hope that their 1.5 release will be an overall improvement, not just status bar icons.

I think those icons are really cool, but something similar to notification bar for notifiedpro and overall performance and bug tweaks will be more important to this app and its success.

Thanks
AE

I have been using notifiedpro with grip plugin and it just works fine.. no issues at all.. and i am looking forward to all the new enhancements that developer is working on the grip.

Hi,

So I just looked at notifier and s wondering how come people love notified pro more? I don't know much about notifier but I have downloaded and use notified pro. I think it's a nice app but I don't see how notifier differs, and the fact that people as asking for status icons which notifier already has.

Thanks
AE

Notified gives you a notification log, notifier doesn't.

They're totally different. Notifer just places status bar icons, On 3.xx it had some additional features, e.g., repeat alerts, but none work on 4.xx.

Notified provides a log of all notifications that can be accessed, reviewed, used to launch apps. Plus, the pro version has plugins that provide you the sender or app and the subject of the email, text, or push notifiation right on the springboard, which can be dismissed or used to launch an app.

new version of notificationgrip out, from twitter:

New version of NotificationGriP submitted. Ofcourse there will be bugs, but enjoy non-the-less. #notifiedapp

I'm so close to getting this to work how I want it to. Using the grip plugin..is there a way to make it so that these don't show up on the lockscreen? they cover the slide to unlock and then clash with the neat lockinfo screen, not to mention this shows the notifications twice. I only want them when I'm using the phone. Anyone have a way to do this? Same problem with the official notification bar plugin.

maybe the new version has a way to enable/disable it. i am not getting 2 notification issue, but i would still like to customize how the alerts are displayed.

This nearly makes the grip plugin unusable.... Hope this gets fixed soon.

Also the home button bug still needs attention.
Randomly the home button will stop working for closing apps. Double and triple clicks continue to work, but single click does not. A reboot fixes things, for a bit...
Very Annoying!

In case you weren't aware, the Grip plug-in for NotifiedPro is actually made by a completely different dev, not the NotifiedPro devs, so you might want to get a hold of him/her.
