When you actually do happen to get a facebook notification pushed to you.. Yes, it works with notified. I probably only get about 1 out of 10 notifications from facebook though.. which has nothing to do with notified.

Okay so im not the only one then that has issues with fb push notifications.

I dont understand what the problem is and why it doesnt work. PUSH notifications on the BB work amazing for FB.

Another thing i noticed was that. If you set the APP for some sort of activation using activator. And open it. And leave it in the multitasking bar.. That same gesture on activator wont work anymore.. Until the APP is fully closed.
 
Ok, im gonna give this APP another try.

So lets say i just want notifications for FB and foursquare.

So under the Settings - Notifications. I set Alerts to off for foursquare and fb. Since i still want a badge to show on the actual APP.

Then i get into Notified Pro, i turned off the BADGE.

Under Manage Alerts i set it to PUSH, and Low Battery.

Is this it, so i shouldnt be getting any pops up from the actual APPS but it should get logged under Notified Pro, but a badge should still appear on the actual APP itself?

Correct?
 
EDIT:

Tried the above settings.. Phone vibrates (i send a message from my gfs account to mine).. I go check notified pro.. Nothings in the list..

But neither is there a badge on FB.

Anyone?

Turn notifications ON in your apps - they need to send a notification for notifiedpro to capture it

For me - this is what worked.
Make sure all push notifications are on in their respective apps

In the settings menu for notified, go to manage alerts and for everything listed there, set it to NOT show in lockscreen and springboard, CHECK log notifications.

This way, the notifcations do not pop up, but instead are shown in the infoshade for notified.

Is that what you wanted?

Yes! Works just got a fb comment thing! Perfect now I just need the status bar icon plugin for this! Thanks a lot!

Because people are different and like different things?

I used the Notification Bars plug-in for a while and have since converted over to the Statusbar Notifications plug-in. I prefer the Statusbar Notifications plug-in because it's even less intrusive than the Notification Bars.

Once the Statusbar Icon Notifications plug-in comes out, I may just use those alone.

Wow man I'm just asking, I thought there would be a benefit of one over the other. No need to give me a Shakespeare comment, because I obviously DIDNT get that different people like different things, I thought since we are very similar to monkeys, that we all eat the same bananas and pick each others fleas. Damn I must be wrong. Lol just playing with you.

I just thought there are somethings that status bar notification provides since most seem to choose it over notification bar.

So the status bar icon notifications will be similar to what bitesms uses, ie bitesms displays that icon with the number of new messages that haven't even read.

How are you using it and then saying your gonna wait until it comes out? Is it out or not? What I want is the little icon to appear by my clock area up top.. Jus like that old notifier package uses to do.

I kind of fell for it to, but one is status bar notification and the other is status bar ICON notification.

I am using lockinfo (with infoshade) right now and love it.


I did want a notification system like Android OS(that isnt very very buggy). Is this currently possible?

You said you have infoshade setup, why are you missing from it that you would like, I get all my notification on InfoShade (just like the android), plus my RSS feeds and Twitter.

They are similar and different at the same time.

Notified pro = lockinfo's infoshade
But notified pro has plugins that can notify you like statusbar and statusbar icons, etc

Notified pro, however, does NOT show on lock screen

This thread is about Notified and Notified Pro (free and paid versions) - Notifier, as I understand from other posts in this thread, was a similar style project that was abandoned.

This has plugins that, according to the wiki, make it like a palm pre style notification system, but notifiedpro status bar icons should, in theory, make it look like the image you attached.

Granted, I am not a developer for the app so I don't know how it will work or look, but based on the descriptions, thats what it seems like.
 
So the STATUS BAR ICONS for Notified Pro will not show in the lockscreen once they become available?

Does anyone know when this plugin is "supposed" to be available?

The devs could not have used a more complicated/confusing naming convention for their plugins...

Their is also some sort of Grip notification plug in now in big boss repo for this.. And where can one download the notification bar plugin? I keep trying but it keeps failing to download in Cydia...

It would be much clearer if they posted photos or comps in the wiki or explained on more details - that's for sure

Sorry, no hard feelings? The only reason I'm using Statusbar notifications over Notification Bars is they take up less real estate.
 
Anyone know where to download the notfication plugin for this? It keeps crashing cydia when I try?
 
Still using infoshade over notifiedpro (I still need a few more capabilities such as mail). I love the statusbar notification plugin though. Very unobtrusive.
 
so i install statusbar notification for this..

Am i supposed to see this somewhere? Or just installing it activates it automatically?
