anyone know the reason some are FedEx and some are UPS?
Someone (in some thread way back when) observed that people who said they'd contacted Apple to change their shipping from standard to expedited went from UPS to FedEx, respectively. The change actually delayed shipment. Apple always sends pre-orders by the fastest means possible; that IS the 'Standard' method for such orders.

Ahh this makes some sense, thanks for the info.
Before I got the PFS email, I actually contacted Apple to see if I could get it shipped to a store for pick up. (They said they couldn't, so shipping address stayed the same...)
So now mine is getting shipped by FedEx and arriving monday 28th.

Is this considered delayed?

Is anyone getting theirs by Friday by UPS?

I didn't "upgrade" shipping and mine is shipping FedEx. Does anyone know why it would show "in transit" twice for today? Also, any guess what flight it would be on? I'm assuming it's going to Memphis and then on a plane to Tampa.

I haven't receiving a shipping notification yet. Does that mean my MBP probably isn't on the 9PM plane?

Ours shipped last Saturday and scheduled to arrive Wednesday by 1030AM. The business group upgraded us to next day service. Will be distracted at Thanksgiving :)

I had mine expedited, got the delivery window 23rd Nov to 1 Dec. Still Preparing for Shipement. I'm praying it's UPS and not FedEx, despite the expedited shipping.

Woke up this morning to see preparing for shipping!

Your rhetoric has been ridiculious. Until Dec. 2 comes and goes without you receiving your laptop, Apple hasn't done anything to you. Be patient.

Ridiculous? Here people are posting about how many seconds there are between each flight in order to find the ones with the Apple products, and I that just tell my disappointing as far as concerns the delay of my order, am I ridiculous?

9 days are missing to my LAST day of the delivery window and it will starts in 2 days and still NOTHING. In the meantime, if an USA customer wants to buy a stock (and some specific BTO) model, he can have it immediately, while I'm waiting for 24 DAYS.

Here people with the same delivery window already have the "preparing for dispatch" or "shipped" order status.

While I agree that the flight tracking is a bit much, is it really worth getting this worked up about all of this just because someone else received a laptop faster than you? New tech is fun and all, but it's not the end of the world if you don't get it as early as others.

It is my understanding you ordered a stock config. If Apple has got their distribution centers stocked it's likely coming from somewhere local rather than straight from the manufacturer like the BTO systems. That means the shipping time should be less.

In the mean time though....just relax. It will get to you when it gets to you.

Yes, I'll receive it (sooner or later), but this long waiting without any new info really hurts me. As student, I really need a computer and a week can make the difference!

I wouldn't worry too much friend. UPS has a variety of services (i.e. when I pre-ordered the iPhone 7, it went from PFS to delivered in 3 business days). Though my 13" BTO was shipped on Sunday/Monday, this was done via UPS World Expedited (slowest UPS service from what I can tell) so my order is arriving on Nov 28 (6 business days). You should note that for both my iPhone 7 and my 13" BTO, I choose standard shipping so I guess Apple chooses the UPS service at their discretion. If your delivery window is until Dec 2, I wouldn't assume a 'delay' in your order just yet. I think most of us are just eager to get our machines sooner (i.e. in the earlier delivery window). Hope you see some movement soon!

My 13" is now in Narita (arrived at 19:46 local time). I had assumed that it would of had went straight from Shanghai to Anchorage but guess not! Delivery date is still scheduled for Nov 28th.
