Black leather Apple case for my new Space Gray X. Been using one on my Jet Black 7+ and on previous iterations, too.

Dropped my 5 on Day 1 of ownership without a case and dented it. Never again.

usually a skin... but i'm thinking about the ruby red case this year! such a pretty shade!!!!

Only phone I had a case on was the 7+ because it was slippery to hold.

Not naked this time.
Everything is new and if it breaks, it will take too much time to fix.
I will use an apple silicone case.

I have had our cases for a week now. Otterbox and Sena. Never had a desire to go without a case, just to slippery for me. I know I will always drop my phone eventually.

Thats one good thing about the X being unveiled but released later, my preferred case manufactures had the exact specs and cases for sale ahead of time, iPhone X never has to be without a case.

Depends how slippery the X will be. I’m guessing it will be slippery since it’s glass so maybe I can find a bumpers case.

Btw, how much would using a case affect wireless charging?

If I go naked or bumpers then I’ll get AppleCare+ otherwise with a protective case then no AppleCare+.

I'm planning on going with my usual spigen hybrid, but really want to try one of apple's official cases.

I'm leaning toward the silicone.

For those who have used these cases long term, whats been the condition of the bottom of the phone? That exposed bottom has always been a worry of mine......

What have the experiences been with the bottom of the phone with the apple cases?

Tech21 tactical case. Good feel in hand and enough grip to prevent accidental slips. Not too large for how much protection you get.
No screen protector though. With AppleCare you can get a replacement screen for $29, so I go with naked screens.

Case and screen protector. I don’t understand people who are so positive that just because in the past they never “needed” protection, it equals they never will. I enjoy knowing IF something happens that I won’t have to live with it or deal with costly repairs. Just me.

$1,149 Phone is absolutely going in a case. Applying some of the liquid glass solution on the glass to prevent scratches. And then putting a Spigen case or a leather case from Apple. Haven’t decided yet.

Undecided. Have Apple leather case on ip7. Probably will end up with the same. Would be too protective caseless. Kinda shame putting case on beautiful design but worth protecting in long run.

Aubergine leather case and AppleCare+ here. I usually use my phones naked at home and slap on a case when out. The only cases I find comfortable to use are the Apple official ones.

Caudabe makes great cases. I’ve had bothe Veil and Sheath, but this year I’ll go with their new Lucid Clear case. It emphasizes the beaty of iphone X IMHO

I am so glad I saw this comment! I just bought the crystal Lucid Clear. All the iPhones ever made have been beautiful, but the iPhone X is the first that I really want to display. I’m all for a nice classy leather case, but I’m excited to see how this one works out.

Apple black leather case with glass. May change the case to an otter box when the kid gets a little older. Also grabbing Apple care.

I had their silicon for a few years. Never any issue with several drops to concrete and ceramic tile. I found it a dust magnet and now use the leather one. Still no issues and now no dust. I thought the silicon cracked easier then the leather if not careful taking it off. No issues with leather on that. I prefer a case, but wonder about the pain in the butt taking it on and off to wireless charge.

Got a $7 clear tpu case. I usually go naked but this way I'll have something if I decide I'd rather have a case.

Spigen Ultra Hybrid S iPhone X case with Air Cushion technology and magnetic metal kickstand (crystal clear) and Spigen tempered glass screen protector.

Do not go Naked.

Trust me, I usually go naked. I have never broken a single iPhone, until this fragile iPhone 8 plus. It fell only 3 feet on a hardwood floor and cracked the rear glass. Which costs $100 to fix if you have applecare, if you don't its $550.

I'll be rocking a thin case on the X
