Personally, Apple leather case and no screen protector. I find the protector takes away from the experience, and I’ve never really had issues with scratches forming (beyond maybe micro scratches I can’t see anyways).

Caudabe makes great cases. I’ve had bothe Veil and Sheath, but this year I’ll go with their new Lucid Clear case. It emphasizes the beaty of iphone X IMHO

This exactly. Love Caudabe cases (otherwise I go naked from time to time). I’ve had the Sheath on my current phone and got both that and Lucid Clear for the X. Really looking forward to seeing how the Lucid Clear looks on the phone. I’ll probably end up switching between that and the new Sheath. Both look fantastic.

For those who have used these cases long term, whats been the condition of the bottom of the phone? That exposed bottom has always been a worry of mine......

What have the experiences been with the bottom of the phone with the apple cases?
The car cradle I have means I need to keep the bottom of the phone unobstructed, so I always use a case with that edge open. If you put you phone in your pocket bottom first it’s the most protected edge. If you aren’t putting it loose in a bag then there’s almost nothing that might scratch it in my experience.

So, 3+ years of this kind of case, never had any problems.

Bought one case from spigen and will buy the crystal one too

With me having an annual upgrade I need to make sure it’s protected

Naked is the only way to enjoy a phone. I don’t use cases or screen protectors and I’ve never had apple care.

Not had any problems so far. My phones get sold in mint condition guess I’m just more careful with my expensive devices lol.

I paid $1,160 for my iPhone x. Plus I'm clumsy. I most definitely going to put a case on it and I'm also using a tempered glass screen.

I think cases give if your phone some life and personality. It would be so dull and boring to see everyone with the same phone caseless.

Tempered glass screen protector and a Spigen Liquid Crystal Thin cover. Did the same with my iPhone 7+. Only went naked with an iPhone once... was rewarded with a broken screen. Never again!

Naked with AC+

Like others, I don’t really worry about it staying flawless since resale isn’t a huge concern for me.

I’ve had once a glass screen protector on my iPhone six plus. Dropped it on our gravel driveway and the screen still broke.

I don’t get why anyone would want to lessen the experience with some cheap additional material that was never designed to be part of it.

This is probably one of the better things about car play, no car cradle. Wireless CarPlay is even better. Drop your phone on a wireless charger when you get in the car and go :)

I’m going with another Quad Lock case with my X. I pre-ordered it right after the announcement for the new phones and it actually arrived here two weeks ago today. I’m quite looking forward to getting my new phone in a few weeks, but to be honest if it weren’t for the X I likely would have just stayed with my year-old 7+ because there’s not really anything that draws me to the new phones that tells me I must have. But that screen and the smaller form factor....yeah that’s a must-have for me. :)

True. The challenge is that very few cars feature it; and many cars have unique-fit radios, now, that mean you can’t use an aftermarket unit, either. Mine certainly does.

So no CarPlay for me any time soon.

I plan on doing something similar I did with my glossy Jet Black 7 Plus...

Anodized Aluminum and TPU Frame Bumper Case, Slick Wraps glossy clear skin, and glass screen protector.

I got a midnight blue :apple: leather case for my 7+, it was simply a scratch magnet and wasn't ultra thin enough (i hate bulky cases). So Amazon it's for the X

You pay all that money for a beautiful object, then spend a few coins on 'personalising' it...I think that looks hideous...The screen is all matt, the sides look weird, the button has an edge to it...

360 degree case and tempered glass screen protector from the good folks over at China

Had both in hand 4 weeks before the keynote along with a dummy iPhone X

Never heard of them till I came across your post. Seems like a really nice fitting case. I just ordered the clear one. Thanks so much for recommending. Hopefully mine will be here before the phone arrives!
