Suppose the plastic Macbook cracking and warping had become such a prominent issue that Apple had to investigate a radical change. They spend more this quarter setting up a US factory for producing aluminum casings; finally tapping into those cash reserves. However, the long-term goal is to reduce returns due to defects. Think how labor intensive it is to refurbish a Macbook that needs an all new case...

This sounds reasonable to me. I just hope the damn things come out next week, or I'm gonna hafta choke a b*tch!

Hey guys. I was pulling a hoax all along. I am the owner of Mac95. I just wanted to boost the speculation a tad bit. Just a few hours of photoshop and there ya go. It was hard work thou..... But you guys think I did a good job for a 16 year old?

for a 16 year old it was alright. Mr blurry cam and the wording kinda gave it away. Not to mention that when you imed me you were avoiding telling me where you got the site, i had an inkling it was you. Did i get my deciefering from blurry right?

i really dont get the kool aid thing. I realize it has to do with the RDF rolleyes but ive seen it on the news and everything lately. Care to explain?

A few decades ago, a U.S. "preacher" led about 900 people (read: members of his cult) to Guyana. When a U.S. Congressman visited on a "fact finding" trip, on his way back to the plane the Congressman was shot and killed. Immediately afterwards, the leader convinced his entire 900-some person congregation (men, women and children), to drink Kool-Aid containing poison (apparently so they all would pass together to some "better place").

Absolutely horrific, and apparently no one in the 900+ people had the guts to stand up to the leader (can't remember -- was his name Jim Jones??) and tell him "hell no, I won't do it").

Hence, "drink the Kool-Aid" as a reference to the mindless consumption of whatever is being said as "gospel" which must be accepted.
