Apple doesnt TOUCH their website until the day of release. not even a chance. throw that find out the window.

Chill out. I seen it and thought would share it... strange why they would have it their though in the first place, considering the last updates to the MB range were in February.

If there was in fact going to be an update to the MBs I could see them upping it on the new products section as an enticement to sell remaining stock.

No new product clues on Apple's website.

Signs of something to come ? Am I the only one seeing the above? :D

I see that, too. If you go into the education store, they list MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air as being new to the store. However, if there are indeed new products, then those would be on the top of the list like the iPod Nano and iPod Touch which had just been recently released. So... no new product clues there.

PS: On a side note.. unrelated to this post. I'd know a kid's post when I see one... A big example would be the misuse of the words there, their, and they're. So if people think I'm a kid, I'm not. Look for those misused words and you'll know who the children are in this forum.

Pretty nervy move to make, but I guess that's business, and I could see them doing that.

You can't just go that way. As me, there are a lot of non-native english speakers posting here. Sometimes one may write a typo (or two or three or four)

who eats ice cream in December besides women during their 'monthly cycles':confused:

Well unlike other people I guess I don't base my eating habits on the current temperature. Plus, ice cream parlors tend to have deals during colder months.

Oh of course....

I know there are a lot of people who are on this forum who don't even live in the U.S. However, posts from people living outside of the U.S. would have errors in syntax as well as grammar. When a message is correct all the way with only the homonyms mixed up, it's definitely a student age mistake. My 17-year-old friend makes those erros all the times and she's born here in the US of A. Besides, people who don't speak a language are very careful in their usage of homonyms or homophones as some people know it.

Anyhow... Let's go back on the MB issue...

It's almost noon here in CA... Let's see those invites! :D

mm, didnt notice u are in new mexico, probably decently warm down there year-round... lucky b**tards, hehe

Not really, we fluctuate pretty drastically. Some days in winter won't go above 29ºF, while summer can be up to 100+ºF.

for what it's worth, they're doing macbreak weekly right now alex lindsay said that he heard from a second hand source that it is the 14th. maybe there isn't supposed to be an event.

and the reason for it is because English is the most screwed up language in the world. almost all other languages have 1 spelling of a word that means a single thing.... whereas english may had 3 or 4 (their, there, they're).

but yes, back to the macbooks... or lack there of =\

I am exceedingly disappointed too.

It's worth noting that the event invite for the let's rock event was posted on macrumors at 12:47 PM EST.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this means 8:45 AM in Cupertino.

I'm going to say it's unlikely invites have been sent out or are being sent out today.

Whether they'd release the new macs without an event; that I don't know.

I think the MacBooks were released without an event. But given the speculation around the "brick" concept I would say that would warrant an event.

Honestly, I'd say most buyers of Apple products don't follow the hype as much as members of this forum, who represent a small number of mac users.
