I know right, maybe you should give it another try !!! My wait time for tonight was only 25 minutes. Before calling i chatted with a CSR online, and she gave me this number to call 1 (800) 676- 2775.

I tried with 4 different reps earlier. One gave me a case. None would expedite. Not sure fifth time would be a charm for me.

I think Apple underestimated the demand for the 6 Plus this year just like they underestimated the demand for the Gold one last year.

BTW, here's some food for thought :p

I read the last few pages of this, but I can't tell if your situations are the same as mine. When I ordered (within about 1 minute of the online store actually going live... not the app), I got a Oct 2-6 delivery date, and choosing anything other than free shipping was not an option.

I'm not looking for apple to comp that, or for them to move up my shipping, I am looking for them to ALLOW me the option to pay for the expedited shipping.

Is that the same as everyone else in this thread ?

How am I getting screwed every time I call in? This inconsistent BS is driving me crazy.

What did you say when you called in? I was extremely polite and explained my 4 hour drama at 3am on launch day. Did you just say your friend got it and asked if you could have it, and skipped the sob story?

i just now called. no waiting! the lady on the phone was extremely nice. i just said i ordered my phones, friend got upgraded to overnight to get a 29th-1st delivery range, could i please have it too?

she said: let me take a look. changed it. asked for my second order number, changed it.

no cases though. maybe i had to be stressed out and bitchy for that? lol?

i will add as far as this shipping thing goes:

don't believe the "every order getting updated" when i ordered my original iPad mini LTE apple was in no rush to get anything not being released on release day to people. anyone who was able to get overnight shipping got their mini's at least 2 days faster than i did. i was never able to get my shipping upgraded on that order (got a free cover and other free stuff though back then.)

Apple is so weird. I just called since I gave up last night after holding for forty-five minutes, and got a super sweet lady myself. She told me that she talked to her supervisor and they were not allowed to manually change anyone's shipping because they're already shipping everything as quickly as possible. I am assuming that this is doublespeak for "we'll ship it as soon as we get it at standard rates".

So then I figured that I would see if she would offer me a case. She apologized profusely for me not getting my phone right away, and I kind of hemmed and hawed about them not being able to expedite the shipping without getting mean or being rude (she really was a very nice young lady; I have no idea how she sounded so enthusiastic this early in the morning), and then she finally said "But you know what I could do..." and offered me a free leather case.

In the end, I really don't care all that much about it not getting here on Friday and I'm not nearly as upset as my wife is about how the preorder went, having been through so much worse with Google. Nice to get the case, though.

Jesus H, what is wrong with you people? I excited to get my phone too, but can't you all wait a few extra days instead of hammering these reps over and over?

Good grief. Every time I want to challenge a Android-er who derisively calls us iSheep, I read cr@p like this to prove me wrong. Its embarrassing to be an Apple fan sometimes.

I just called in and spoke with Eva, who was extremely chipper! I explained that I'd heard it was possible to update to expedited shipping, we made about thirty seconds of pleasant chit-chat, and then she said "looks like you're set for delivery between September 29 and October 2." I'm almost disappointed at how easy it was; I really wanted that free leather case....

Get over yourself.

EDIT: And clearly you've never been over to XDA when a Nexus phone is in its preorder process. The amount of angst and vitriol spewed in those forums makes all of us look like angels. So challenge Android users with that little bit of trivia, since you feel a need to "challenge" people about their silly comments.

What day/time did you order?

I called and was told that they are not changing shipping speeds for any iPhone 6 orders.

Usually the first few batches are all expedited shipping as standard, which is why there is no option.

So maybe we'll get them next week instead of the week after. :)

I don't challenge people about their silly comments, I question their silly, obsessive compulsive actions. And while the self-entitled demand their phone a day or two earlier, I imagine people with actual customer service problems have to wait half an hour just to talk to someone.

Called and the rep updated my order to expedited shipping, but said she couldn't offer a free case.

I called about my case not showing up in my Order history and rep said changing shipping could cancel my order. She also said that most likely they'll be delivered sooner than the October 1-6 window. She did confirm that reps were sent an email stating they cannot offer expedited shipping on the phone so those of you who got it are lucky but I would not want to risk my order getting canceled just to expedite shipping from China which we all know it takes a few days anyways

So while I wasn't happy having to wait October 1-6 because I've always got my orders through and received them on launch day this, is not a dealbreaker for me that I have to wait, it just makes the anticipation far more greater to receive my new phone. After all it is only a phone

So sounds like it will probably be week after the release for our group. Sounds good to me.

I'm a customer; I just bought their most expensive phone. I wanted to know if I could get my shipping changed to overnight. I would have paid I'd had the option to. You think it's silly, then don't call them. But don't feel like you have some divine right to sit in judgment of people who want to have an interaction with the multibillion dollar company they just ordered a product from.

Yep, I have no problem with that.
