How long were you on hold before talking to someone? I'm currently at 40 minutes and wondering how much longer it'll be.

First call was 43 min of hold, so I hung up.

Then I called the apple online store as I was placing an order, spoke to a nice person there, who said he would transfer me to the person to talk to about this (he referred to the person as a Customer Satisfaction Rep?) I explained me story again, and he offered to upgrade the shipping as that was all he could do. And then he did that for both my orders. Second call took about 13 min
 
Oct. 1 to 6 Delivery Date Orders

What number did you call the 2nd time? Maybe I'll give that one a try as I'm sick of holding for this line.

Same number, the main 1800 MY APPLE number (1-800-692-7753) but I said I wanted to purchase an iPhone to the automated voice and then from there I was transferred. Try that method, worked for me..
 
Chatted with a rep, and was told they could not upgrade the shipping time for these phones. She told me they were shipping them overnight already for people that didn't get in the initial wave.

I just called in and was told they are unable to change anything. Unable to? Definitely not.

if it is next day then our estimate delivery dates are off no?


Right....but apple is typically pretty conservative with there estimates. You could get it earlier and never even get notified until it arrives on your doorstep.
 
Use your phone number as reference. It is an option on both websites. Just google it if you can't figure it out bud.
 
I got ahold of a rep who said they received an email instructing them to not expedite any orders because all orders were already being expedited.

So you must have gotten lucky with a rep who hasn't checked their email.

He did feel bad though.

I called to get my address changed from the AT&T address to a different one and they took care of that without any hesitation. Then I asked about quicker shipping and she said that due to the snafu with the online store, they are expediting everyone that didn't get the 9/19 date. She didn't say overnight, but said it's expedited instead of standard. She also said that there's a very good chance that phones will ship before the 7-10 days due to what she has been seeing. Obviously couldn't guarantee, but did say more than once that there's a very good chance.

do you know if 7-10 days was from the 12th when we ordered or from the 19th when the phone is released?

Good to hear! Yeah I was gonna ask if expedited shipping was the same as overnight shipping... Lol guess you answered my question. Based on all this, I'm gonna say we'll receive ours between 9/22 and 9/26 (as I mentioned earlier) so not that much longer than 9/19 obviously. I can wait!

might call and complain that i had to purchase a leather case and see what they offer me? thoughts?

It's inconsistencies like this that are very frustrating. So it's like we have to constantly call back to get someone to actually expedite.
