I agree with others that likely it just hasn't updated since it is the weekend. Tracking doesn't seem to update on the weekends for whatever reason even if stuff is moving.

I'm just surprised no one has speculated that a UPS employee stole an entire load of iPhones somewhere in Shanghai ;) :p

UPS air shipments almost all go to Louisville and are delivered next day everywhere in the continental US. So If I, in Alabama, ship something to Cali, it goes to Louisville and then leave Louisville around 2-4AM for delivery tomorrow morning. It makes no difference where in the US you are.

So are you saying that even if our phones ship out or leave China say.....Tuesday night at 6:35pm china time that we would get them still on time on the 25th of Sept (Thursday)?

It could be that the UPS server uses a batch processing mentality to update the site with new data (like the scans). At my job (unrelated industry) we update our website with changes hourly (some instantly but most hourly) and we do not run batch processing on the weekends. Anything that happens over the weekend gets updated on the first batch process of the week which is midnight between Sunday/Monday.

Man this is so hard to believe. Its been over 60 + hours since my order was shipped and stuck at ZhengZhou, China 7:10 PM Arrival Scan. What are they waiting on? The security scan should not take this long. In China right at this moment of time on the PST time frame it is 11:09 am Sunday but in China right now it is 3:09 pm Monday already.

The soonest a plane could take off with our phones would be apps 6:35 pm China time or about 3 hours and 26 minutes. That would place the take off time apps 6:35pm Monday night if it don't take off by then we could miss our 25th delivery window. I am basing this on I am on the west coast so it would have to travel to Kentucky first then all the way back to NV and that takes time.

At least one more day after it arrives to Kentucky. So if it does not take off within the next 4 hours and you live on the west coast then you may get your phone late.

I admit I haven't been paying much attention to shipping status comments - sorry. If it's any consolation, I've had orders from China, overseas somewhere that look stuck..but really they are not. It just hasn't updated on the carriers site for some reason. Of course that drives you nuts. There is a chance on the next update - perhaps later today / tonight it will already be in the states.

Might say ZhengZhou, next update will be in Memphis or whatever state. Its happened to me. Also Ive had orders where the status updates AFTER I received the package. The package just arrives, big surprise. Next thing I know I see the status update as "Dropped off at door / Delivered at residence -signed" with the rest of the movement info that was missing.

I just received a call from a UPS special Apple handling agent (didn't know such a title even existed) and was told that, following my previous phone query, he could now confirm the phone will indeed be delivered tomorrow (9/22) by the end of the day...

Lucky! I wish my 9/25 date would bump up to 9/22 :)

I could see this happening too. I suppose you are correct as I seen tracking get behind on other packages of mine but this is a mass movement of packages and I can see them getting way behind... so maybe we have nothing to worry about.

How did you get them to call you back? Did you call UPS and ask for some supervisor or something?

You are incorrect. It's only 330 am there right now

So if my phone is in ZhengZhou as of Saturday night at 7:48 pm, how do I track it from there? Since it has not moved since then, I assume it will be on a flight out on Monday morning?

What we need is a UPS employee to come forward and state that UPS does not always or does not ever update tracking over the weekend. Is there a UPS employee willing to come forward to make such a statement?????

keep in mind from my time frame now its 2:30 pm Monday in China now. So Monday morning our time say 6 am for me and 8 am for you then in China it would be Tuesday already 8:30 am or somewhere about that time.

Nope, Shanghai and ZhengZhou it is 12 hours ahead of Eastern time zone. Right now it is 2:38am Monday morning.

Back in ZhengZhou, China

• Logistics Operation Manager (voiced by James Hong): Why is this container of iPhone 6’s still here on the docks?
• Shipping Courier: … points to this thread of MacRumors and puts on a troll face; I wanted to drive these people crazy over the weekend!
• Logistics Operation Manager: … reads this thread, gives Shipping Courier a stern look and waves finger
• Shipping Courier: “gulps thinking he is up the creek”
• Logistics Operation Manager: You are doing it wrong my son! If you really want to troll, flag this shipment as an exception/delayed delivery (puts on troll face and laughs maniacally with Shipping Courier.)

Seriously though, I'm one of those who was originally in the October 1-6 deliveries. I got my shipping notification Friday morning (delivery by end of the day Sept 24 for an unlocked 128GB 6 Plus). My phone is also at that 9/19 7:10PM scan stage.

Besides the security scan holdup, they are probably also trying to also get as many of the October 1-6 delivery pre-orders out as well for delivery over this week (essentially one week sooner). Given UPS' WorldPort operations, I can see them still being able to meet the September 22 delivery estimates once it's actually in Anchorage).

Logistics wise, since this is likely another massive load (but unlike the 9/19th ones where shipments had to be held for several days and thus taking up space at a local/regional shipping facility), there's an actual method to what seems like madness. These are more like direct drop shipments with no preset arrangements to hold them at those local facilities. So it's more like a just-in-time process that has to follow a certain flow so as not to clog up the operations at Anchorage and Louisville.

Thus we'll likely see actual movement and that much awaited change in the scans within the next 12 hours since it has to hit WorldPort by this evening local (Louisville) time for it to be sorted and sent on their way in order for the September 22 west coast deliveries (the most furthest destination from Kentucky which has deliveries slated for Monday) to be made.

No it's not 2:30 pm in China. It's in the wee hours of the morning there. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411324687.740548.jpg
