Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

Not really. Whatever UPS says on its web page for delivery date is probably accurate. For me, its 9/25 and that's probably right on the money. That's assuming the web page is even up to date, as UPS's tracking often fouls up when the system is overwhelmed (aka, an iPhone launch).

Yeah I guess you're right. I was hoping for tomorrow but I guess Thursday will be fine. I did ask off work for Wednesday and Thursday just in case lol
 
If there were emotional stages of ordering an iPhone, we are living it.

1. The anticipation and excitement of pre-ordering.
2. The anguish of it shipping between 7-10 business days.
3. The frustration of seeing no changes whenever you check the order status every hour.
4. The elation of finally receiving a shipment notification.
5. The frustration again of nothing showing in the tracking page when you refresh the website every hour.
6. The relief after shipping information is finally available.
7. The disappointment of seeing no changes to the shipment for the last 2 days.

I was bored... :p

Stuck in ZhengZhou since 9/19 at 7:10 PM. *sigh*
 
Did anyone else get an email (UK) saying that their iPhone will now be delivered on the 20th September? I took a day off of work yesterday and it never turned up, phoned up to complain and they basically just said "Too bad". Hooray lost wages...
 
The 7:10 crowd is the reason Apple gave you Oct 1-6 Delivery. We are the lucky ones to have the package pushed back. No way to get it Monday. We will see them either Wed or Thr. Which is still good. Take a sleeping pill, and by the time you wake up, it's on the ups truck for delivery.
 
So, now I have two phones with "arrival scan" in ZhengZhou at around 7PM. One was scanned on 9/19 and the other was scanned on 9/21.

This lends some support to the theory that UPS cannot keep up with the factory. Phones are probably getting queued up every night at 7PM waiting for an outbound plane. Maybe they just have a reduced number of flights on the weekend and this whole thing clears up on Monday.

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from Lenovo as well that always ships from China. Delays like this is no surprise with stuff sitting with no tracking updates. Once it starts moving to Alaska and Kentucky though it can move pretty quickly. I've been pretty shocked before seeing arrival/departure spreads of maybe 30 minutes and then the package going straight to my city versus my nearest hub.

I'm scheduled for Thursday 9/25, but if I had to bet I'd say 80% chance it's Tuesday and 20% it's Wednesday. There's really no way it could take 4 days to deliver unless they misplaced them :)
 
If you do the math there is no way these phones will be in your hand tomorrow unless you see a Louisville scan soon. There is not enough time to get from China to Anchorage to Louisville. Plus there are no more flights today.....
 
I wonder if the folks who got bumped from Wednesday to Monday were the ones who called Apple for "faster" delivery.

Perhaps that's why UPS said it's still Tues/Wed. and the Monday is a false positive? Hope not.

I say next year we meet our phones in Zheng Zhou, CN. I'll ride with my phone on UPS81 to anchorage and kentucky.

I never called Apple. Phone was scheduled for Wednesday, now Monday, but stuck in Shanghai/12:45am.

Mine was bumped to Monday this morning, including a my choice email saying delivery tomorrow. And I didn't call apple to ask for a faster delivery. I actually called for a slower delivery (change of address), but that was after it shipped and was out of apples control. :confused:

Interestingly, My Choice shows no deliveries for tomorrow, despite my tracking saying tomorrow.. Then again, it is stuck in Shanghai...maybe.

No, didn't call. . I'm in that 12:45 group hoping I'm in ky although it says Shanghai with a delivery date of tomorrow.
