Little off topic, but anyone here getting the 4.7 ip6 and still looking for a case? I accidently ordered a Spigen Neo Hybrid metal one. I was going to return it to Amazon, but as this thread has become a Band of Sufferers, I'd rather pass it along. I'll even so it to you - but not through UPS lol

Hey Luckychef28, if you're offering it up gratis, I would really appreciate it.
I'm pretty well tapped out on funds right now after two new iPhones :(
My son's new iPhone 6 4.7" could use a case. (clumsy):p

Thanks for the offer, either way :)

I explained this WAY earlier, but Shanghai is only a 2 hour flight from ZhengZhou but a 10 hour train ride, so the Shanghai batch likely took a train to Shanghai to break congestion coming out of the ZhengZhou airport. I still expect it to hit Incheon from there, then Anchorage.

How do you know Apple is using other carriers besides UPS and Fedex?

I think the sheer volume that Apple is shipping this week never mind anything else UPS/Fedex is shipping may struggle to be covered by the limited lift. That one flight per day from PVG-ANC isn't going to cut it for UPS

Im watching CAO1011 on flightradar24.

From what was said on earlier posts, UPS uses ANC to clear customs, so shipments are expedited at the world port. they have a fairly large ramp area here in ANC, and i can definitely see that happening.

if Apple is using other carriers to ferry product from china, they will still need to clear customs. this flight is headed to ORD. it seems that most iPhones now are headed to the UPS worldport in Kentucky.

also working at the airport, i have never seen anything approach China cargo, Cathay, Korean air, Cargo Lux, or any other carriers aircraft on the remote parking pads at ANC that could serve as any form of customs clearance. no aircraft, other than UPS planes, enters the UPS parking ramp at the north cargo park.

I may have missed that amongst the previous 173 pages :) :)

Thanks for the info, inspector. I guess we'll follow any lead that gets me one step closer.

2 UPS planes have touched down in my city from Louisville since my my phone was scanned in ZhengZhou on Thursday (3 but I wouldn't consider the 1st of those 3 to have had enough time to make it from China to Anchorage and Louisville). I have hope.

There was a story not too long before the launch date about Apple buying up just about every bit of cargo space coming out of China so they could get phones out on time. Dunno if that's still the case though.

If that's the case then that's too many flights to keep track of lol

I'm going to say that if your phone is scheduled to show up Wednesday/Thursday, that it will leave ZhengZhou around 4-5 am EST (about 7 hours from now), and still be in Louisville by Wednesday morning at the latest.

I don't think they missed a scan at this point, I think they legitimately haven't left yet.

I have a feeling our phones are already in the US, and that the UPS site just hasn't updated lately.

Hopefully we'll have updates by tomorrow morning

This is from Shanghai to Anchorage alone...

Mine still shows delivery by close of play Sept 22nd in NYC. UPS / Fedex do not miss often from my experience. I doubt mine is still sitting in Shanghai after 2 days. UPS and Fedex would grid to a halt with a huge number of packages sitting idle, so I am in the hopeful camp that they just haven't been scanned

Agreed. This is probably less about missed scans and more about lack updates over the weekend. The batch updates may not process regularly on weekends. ;)

This is my theory about the 7:10 hold up. That flight seems to have delivery dates from Monday all the way to Thursday on it. Peoples service levels are from savers to expedited. This makes complete sense what I'm about to explain. That plane has to land in Kentucky tonight or early in the A.M. in order to deliver the end of day express savers on Monday. Every single iPhone on that plane will be processed and then dispatched as it is considered an Air package. There is a chance that almost everyone has their delivery updated for tomorrow. If you were to order 2 T-shirts from China and you were to choose express saver and the other was expedited than your delivery dates would be different. This is a bulk shipment we are waiting for. Ups is treating all iPhones as a Next Day Air Savers when they hit the states. Yes I work for UPS.

Heh, you always say the right things, techedude. Would be awesome if you're correct. :)

A few of us have offered that theory because it does make sense. Hopefully you, with your UPS credentials, can convince, or sway to consideration, the naysayers.
