You are correct sir! I am in the same boat and am hoping somehow it will ship a little earlier. 128GB 6+ Space Grey ordered from Apple.com at approx 3:40 EDT through iphone app.

I don't understand... Why would it be 7-10 business days after launch? If that was the case, they could've just said "available to ship in 14-17 business days."

I think they mean it's available to ship in 7-10 business days after you placed the order. Which would make sense, since they'd be available to ship next week, when the next shipment of phones will probably be ready. At least, this is what I'm hoping for.

The way I calculated it is 7 - 10 business days from the 12th which would be the 23rd - 26th. Then allow for standard shipping which should put it here between the 1st - 6th. Just my two cents

I think the 7-10 is calculated from the 19th, which works when you do the math.

Yeah, it states that. But click "Pick up at Store on 9/19" It will open a link with a list of stores and it will probably say "Unavailable for Pick-Up" That may change 6-7am Friday local time. I don't know.

Of course all stores will have them on Friday, but the question is how many?

I can picture the massive Apple Stores like mid town Manhattan, LA, San Fran, Chicago. They will have a nice quantity of 6 Plus..but they will still fly out the door fast.

Didn't know I could click on the store pickup part and it would show the stores. Nothing available near me. Oh well, was worth checking at least. After work Friday I might just drive around to some places in my area and see if that have anything left. Worked for the 5 so maybe I'll work again this time. I have nothing better to do Friday anyways. Lol.

I would assume from the 12th, because they're giving you a "shipping estimate" 7-10 business days from the time you placed your order. So if you placed your order on the 12th and it says "ships in 7-10 business days," only makes sense to start counting from there. This would ship them the week after launch, then an additional week of Standard shipping range which falls in the Oct 1-6 range and makes sense.

It could but I'm counting business days (and standard shipping of at least 3 - 4 days). If it is expidited shipping then yes. I'm hoping from the 12th anyways. When I ordered my Mac Pro it said 1 - 2 weeks from the date of the order. It shipped the next day. Lol. Maybe that will be the case

Seven to ten business days from the 19th is Sept 30th to Oct 3rd, with the possible in-transit window being from Sept 30th (assume it ships as early as day 7) to Mon Oct 6th - which is your one week shipping estimate.

As I said, the math works better with the 19th than the 12th. But it will probably be earlier than Oct 1-6 because Apple is usually conservative in its shipping estimates. I'm just saying, don't get your hopes up for the 19th or 22nd, 23rd-ish, though you never know.

Agreed. Oct 1-6 is their estimated deliver by date. If shipping is 7-10 business days from 19th, estimated shipping will be 9/30-10/3 so delivery would be 10/8-10/12. The only way Apple will meet 10/1-10/6 if they ship 9/30-10/3 is with Next day delivery.

We (Oct 1-6) are actually the 3rd batch. Quite a few people have mentioned delivery days in the last full week of September, without the "expedited shipping".

The only people I've seen reference that date are people who ordered from carriers or people who called Apple for expedited shipping.. but I could definitely be wrong.

I still believe we're the 2nd group. Haven't seen any huge threads like this one for the week after the 19th (from Apple purchases).

My confirmation on Space Gray 128 Gb iPhone 6+ was from around 12:40 PST.

I was only able to get my order in at that time after refreshing for 2 hours on the Apple Store App and site. I was never given the "add to cart" option. My slowness to get to the page was due to both Apple's site and App Store being either completely broken at the time or completely unusable.

Other models of the phone were still delivering on the 19th at that time. It's going to be really annoying to be on the third run of deliveries. I hope they start updating more orders.

Yeah that doesn't make any sense, why would Apple delay the immediate processing of the order? I would think they'd want to immediately push out all the phones they can ASAP. Im gonna contact Apple right now and see what they say.

Has anyone that is quoted oct 1st-7th been charged for their phone yet?

Nope not me. They charge you right before they ship it.

Awesome. Let me know what they say.

My order is currently in the "processing" stage, if that matters.

I just called Apple. Took like 2 minutes to get through. The lady was nice and just stated what I already knew. That my iphone delivery was set for oct.1st -6th. I asked if that could be moved up and she said they aren't editing anyone's orders . She didn't offer a leather case but that's probably because I didn't push it much. Honestly I don't feel right trying to get something for nothing so I'd feel bad if I had complained. I told her I was concerned about not being charged yet and she did say that she saw a $1 transaction on my account and that when the phone shipped I would then be charged. Not much information that I didn't know already. I guess I can play with ios 8 on Wednesday until I get the phone :/

So we were right (forgot other peeps username). The "Available to ship: 7- 10 business days" started after we placed the order. Apple also told me they start shipping out orders after the 19th.

So lets say they ship out our phones on 9/23 (7th business day from the 9/12) we should get it the latest 10/1 (after a week of shipping). I guess they said they have until 10/6 too save their butts if something unforeseeable happens.

Glad to hear!! Thanks for checking.

That means we'll probably start receiving them between 9/22 and 9/26, possibly a bit later.

I'm honestly not sure how some people have been convinced that modifying shipping to expedited is going to delay their order. The order has not been shipped, is not even in the initial stages for shipping and is just sitting there with the sole purpose of having its details modified. By the logic being used, calling them because of a mistake in your address would push your order back.... If you are lucky enough to get a CSR that can take care of it for you, then absolutely do it. Just my two cents..

I spoke to Apple today they said NO iPhones get shipped standard. They all go out expidiated shipping no matter what it says. So those who are trying to change shipping are wasting their time

What sucks for me is my wife's 6+ SG will be here on the 19th...I have tracking for it already...

But in the time it took to add mine to the cart and finalize it my shipping for my 6+SG slipped to Oct 1-6 and I have nothing on mine at the time but processing...How is that fair?? Both phone were ordered 2 minutes apart...

I just find it ridiculously odd...

I guess that's what I get for trying to be a good husband and order my wife's first..

My guess is that this is correct, but Apple is using the expedited shipping as one method of appeasing frustrated customers (a placebo of sorts), along with giving out cases and such. We'll know in a couple weeks either way.

They further stated that those who change it may be screwing up their order and may get it later. This came from a manager.....

I feel you.. I was on the site since 2:55AM EST.. had order in cart for in-store pickup on my 6+ on 9/19, final page, kept getting "your order has been interrupted", finally removed from cart to re-do, worst mistake ever.. didn't get order completed until 2 hours later, via reservation, which ended up being 7-10 shipping time. Oh well. Frustrating but what can you do.

This is what I thought and hoped it would be. I was also hoping that once they got the initial craziness of the 12th sorted out, that there was a chance that some of the second wave orders would get phones shipped early (botched orders, cancelled orders, glitches etc) I ordered a 64 GB SG plus at 5:15 am EST (as soon as I was able to get through)and still have Oct 1-6 date.
