How soon we forget that a great majority of us only had Oct 1-6 delivery because the apple site came up 2 hours after the phones went on sale. We should have been in the 9/19 delivery group. That's why people were getting free swag from apple.

For the 6+ orders, the website issue didn't factor much - there weren't many in inventory to begin with. I ordered thru the app about 30 min into the start.

No I agree. If yours are not in Osaka/Incheon in like 2 hours when the plane departs for Anchorage then you won't make it to tomorrow's delivery.

Mine are in Incheon, but I still have a hard time believing that I'll see them before Thursday. I leave room for any possibility, but so far I haven't been particularly impressed with this shipping situation. I'm not upset or anything; glad I'm not having to wait until October.

Yeah, at this point I haven't seen UPS do anything that makes me believe that they're going out of their way to get anyone's phones to them before their delivery date. If your date is tomorrow, sure; if your date is the 25th like me, then don't hold your breath, I say.

Hmm. I take away the opposite. Sounds to me like they are working hard to get back on track.

Still stuck no movement.

As someone who works in the logistics business, it's important to note that Apple likely has a VERY specific contract to deliver these things.

This isn't likely UPS 'delaying' the shipments.

One other thing - the scans you are seeing are customer-facing, and are likely 'canned' scans. ALWAYS keep that in mind anytime you order something.

If Apple displayed Oct 1-6'th as your deliver-by date, if you get it ANY time sooner than that, consider yourself lucky.

Simple as that.

I understand your frustration, as I'm in the same group as all of you - Mine is sitting in Osaka right now.

I think yours will be in Anchorage by 4:48pm this afternoon Eastern Time!

Children around the world weep in sorrow for you.

Seriously, if you're so distraught just walk into any Apple store, buy your 6+ and then return the other when it finally arrives.

Short term memory I see. Most in this thread have expressed their displeasure.

My point is still valid. You're moaning about how terrible the pre-order system is and how you can just walk into the Apple store and pickup a phone right now, yet you don't.

If it's that much of a bother, just do it. You can return the extra for a full credit. Obviously the correct course of action is keep pissing and whining on the internet about it.

Wow, you're the first poster I've matched all times exactly with. Will be interesting to see what happens. It's certainly irritating to be trying to order with the delivery date of 9/19 showing and then get bucketed later. However, at least I didn't do my corp route this year. Buddy told me between all the premier issues and waiting for approvals, he's not getting his 6+ till November.

Ouch.

Not that simple. If you upgraded with a subsidized phone ($499) and walk-in you have to buy an off-contract phone ($950).

You will load up and restore your new phone, but when your pre-order arrives in the mail, you will have to keep the one you pre-ordered and return the one you walked in and purchased or you will be out a huge chunk of change.

Dude what is your problem? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

I understand that; I don't particularly consider myself "lucky" because I view all this as a by-product of Apple pre-selling a device that was woefully understocked, but that's Apple's issue, not UPS. My reply was specifically addressing the idea that we could be getting our phones even earlier than the dates that UPS is providing; I just don't feel like anything that has been done so far warrants that kind of optimism.

Not a ding on UPS; just an observation.

Mine is in Osaka Japan. Came from shangi. Monday delivery date pushed back into tomorrow as well, we shall see won't be home to sign for it

delivery date is Thursday.

Seems like they split up the iPhones.. sad part about all of this is when I got up at 3 to preorder I messed up and ordered my wifes phone first and her iPhone 6 plus got here on release day while I have to wait and I was the one who had to wake up early while she was still lying in bed go figure.

If I've said it 3 times I'll say it again - STILL "Preparing for Shipment" since last Thursday. No luck on UPS or Fedex finding my shipment. Is anyone else in this bucket? Not Processing, "Preparing for Shipment"

Incheon

Scanned into Incheon this morning (my time, Eastern) at 7:55 PM local time there in Seoul.

Departing on flight KE233, to Anchorage, which arrives 1:25 PM Anchorage time, departing an hour later from Anchorage, to arrive in Chicago at 11:10 PM Chicago time.

Which ends up with it at my doorstep tomorrow, in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, area.

Seems to make logistical (and logical) sense to me! :apple:
