So has anyone with a 9/23 date, with tracking still showing arrival in Louisville, gotten any word from UPS on the meaning of this?

I get 1-Day and 2-Day Air packages all the time and this is one of the slowest most pathetic handlings I've ever dealt with.

No word yet

I had txt today at 6:00 saying delivery today, but tracking says still in ky. Ups promised today at start then suggested it would be early Monday before it was in the Shanghai 'd group- held there all weekend. I would guess they'd truck it up I75 so I'm still holding hope.

This is what I'm talking about... Poor handling.

Okay... So my delivery date is 9/23 EOD stuck in Louisville arrival scan...so I called ups just now and spoke to a rep... All he said was just to check ups tracking... And I ask her if my package is delay or what so ever and all she said was that it's still showing on time on the system? .... Wtf?

Well this stinks. Just woke up to see if my phone made it to Boston overnight and it's still stuck in Louisville. What the hell. They must have pushed through anyone that had express saver and kept the expedited ones behind a day.

Mine is Express Saver in RI. No update either. Stuck in Louisville.

Then again, I have another shipment from Amazon originating from PA that's supposed to arrive today and there's still no update either.

Maybe there are tons of shipments coming in today because I believe we are the first batch of iPhones coming into the country after the 9/19 folks.

For the last time, if your phone is still in Louisville, it's because it didn't clear customs yet, and can't go until the government approves it through the census bereau website. It will be approved in the next several hours and be on the road to be delivered tomorrow morning.

It sucks, but nothing comes in and goes out before the Feds approve it, no matter how slow they are.

You'll know when it clears because it will say "import scan" on your tracking page. Expect it to be on the road by 6 pm tonight at the latest.

I too am still stuck at the 9:59 PM arrival scan in Ontario. I'm in Northwestern Ohio and delivery is scheduled for today.

I'm 50 miles south of the main hub in Toledo (3rd busiest in the entire UPS network for crying out loud) and about 90 miles south of DTW airport in Romulus.

I'm giving it until 9 AM, I know (according to my buddy who works at the TOL hub) labels fall off the bulk sacks our phones are in left and right, and usually when packages are processed in TOL, they're so damn busy they just chuck 'em (not literally) into the vans and trucks and let the next POI (Findlay, in my case) deal with actually scanning it, updating the location, holding the package for will call, etc.

9 AM. 9:30 at the latest. If it still shows "Arrived - Ontario, CA" then I guess it isn't happening today.
Thanks for that. I'm in the same boat but I'm in San Antonio, TX. Crossing my fingers the scans haven't been done yet. I have had this happen before with other packages were the latest scan is in another state then all of the sudden the scans show up all at the same time on the UPS site showing out for delivery.

Food for thought: 4 UPS lights landed in Louisville within an hour of each other in the early morning hours. From there they had to unload hundreds of thousands of iPhones, sort and start loadin them on the appropriate planes to go all across the country. Not possible to get all th phone processed that fast. Some were luckier than others, but be patient they will move soon.

Do you work for UPS? Where did you find this info? Or is it pure speculation on your part??

So they don't normally have many planes and boxes arriving at a ups hub servicing a third of the country? I wonder if the holidays they just say "screw it" and send them along whenever they see fit? I mean, the phones are on pallets, great big packages until customs clears them so it SHOULD be less demanding as a plane load compared to individually packaged items.

We do not want food we want iPhones ;-)

Another 5:20er moving along...

This is actually a present for my mom and her birthday is tomorrow... Hopefully the phone can do the Anchorage-Louisville jaunt tonight and be ready for pickup tomorrow!

do you have an import scan? if not it didn't clear customs. the scans will be something like this
All in louisville.
Arrival scan
import scan
departure scan

if you are missing the last 2 then you are still in louisville and have not cleared US customs like me.

FYI I don't work for UPS but do have some experience with this.

I thought customs is what the stop in Alaska is for.
