You can't blame Techedude as he stated it as it usually goes. He had no idea what happened or why they choose not to include everyone's shipment. I am bummed too, as I woke up hoping to see a "Out for Delivery " on my phone for Las Vegas but no .... still stuck in Louisville,KY. Maybe Louisville was overwhelmed and could not handle everyone's shipment this round. Besides mine originally stated Thursday not Tuesday so I don't blame Techedude at all.

He was only trying to give us some insight. Don't be angry folks. Am I disappointed ? Sure I am. Will I Live? Sure I will. But I will just figure on a Thursday delivery as it was scheduled. UPS just had too many packages to get everyone's out on the truck. Since mine was scheduled for Thursday Sep 25th mine could wait in their eyes. Disappointment for me, but realistic for them. Can't blame anyone or UPS, they are doing the best they can. Give them some credit. Without UPS or Fed-Ex we would never get our packages. So keep your cool people.

Can we please not start bringing politics into this? Even jokingly. Tempers are starting to flair already and this could get real ugly real fast...
 
Yeah I'm going to go out on a limb and blame UPS for this one. Apple never told me it would be delivered early but UPS said Monday, then Tuesday, now Wednesday. Don't promise things if it's going to take you 37 hours to get the shipment moving in Shanghai and 8.5 to clear customs. So much for UPS being so good at expediting customs clearance.

That said, I've almost never had a problem with UPS domestic but obviously their international team gave up after delivering launch day phones last week.
 
There's a flight from Louisville to Oakland leaving 3:52P EDT and arriving 5:13P PDT. So even if I get my import scan by then (likely) and make the flight, there's no way another driver can make the delivery this evening?
 
I'm so confused... The tracking info makes no sense...

Nope, if it isn't in your local truck hub by the time trucks leave in the morning it's going out tomorrow.
 
I do believe that the 9/25 group will get our import scans today at some point (and I include the dark hours of tomorrow morning in today) simply because UPS needs to get them out of the way of the next 3-4 plane loads of iPhones coming in behind us.

I'm in the same boat (or plane?) as you... this makes no sense...
 
Just got my import scan. Still scheduled for tomorrow.

I requested for willcall hold for pickup. The update still says scheduled delivery. Will it change to ready for pickup ? And location address of the service hub?
 
UPS man showed up iPhoneless.

Showed how it's been in Ontario since last night, hoping it was a glitch.

Turns out they ACTUALLY LEFT IT IN ONTARIO.

Tracking still says today for delivery, though that obviously isn't happening.

Hoping for tomorrow to be the day... :(

It should go directly to AK. I recall yesterday's flights between these cities landed around 6PM EDT. I'll need to see when it takes off on flightaware.com.

Who knows? I'm just so fed up with the whole process at this point I'm not even sure im going to enjoy my phone if I ever get it...
 
Shipment in Ontario now shows an import scan from Louisville :)

I presume it's a remote scan.

Don't be so harsh man... There seems to have been an unforeseen issue at zhenzhou/Shanghai... Maybe the typhoon or maybe the Chinese government... Give them the benefit of doubt... It's not a joke handling the sudden volume... For me they've always been on time or a day early... Domestic or international...

Blame no one. When you pre-ordered, you were told Oct 1-6 delivery. Even now, you're going to get it earlier than that.

If it was mid-October and the order was still sitting on a pallet in Shanghai, then maybe it would be time to start looking for someone to blame.

This pre-order has soured my experience. I wonder if would've had a better chance if I had lined up on launch day. I hear people got their iPhones sooner! Maybe I'll do that next year.

That's a whole different experience. Being in the line can be just as stressful and infuriating, and there's no guarantee that after hours of being there, you'll walk away with a phone in-hand. I did it once, and while overall I don't regret it, it's not something I care to do again.

Anyway, I just my import scan, so we should see some progress.

It sure doesn't. I think UPS is just screwing with us at this point. flyingwasabi is probably sitting in an office somewhere manually changing people's statuses and laughing at us. :eek:
 
UPS better have my packages here by 5pm on Friday, Sept 26th or I will assume they have been stolen.

UPS apparently don't know crap about logistics, if they can't plan for this.....

This whole thing has been a big clusterf---. From the website being down for me until 5:27 am EDT to this crap..
