Everyone complaining is hilarious - you were given a Oct 1-6 email like me remember? ;)

If you want to complain however, my gripe would be checking out on the App Store app and getting a 9/19 delivery and then 10 minutes later getting a Oct 1-6 delivery

Was hoping that the impossible would happen since there is a chance that my phone was cleared at the custom since the 1.45 AM arrival scan in KY but wasn't expecting there had to be an import scan which basically means no phone today... Probably should've been more patient and not trust the UPS estimation at all.

Still waiting on the illustrious Import Scan..... :rolleyes:

That was the start of it...

Who knows? I'm just so fed up with the whole process at this point I'm not even sure im going to enjoy my phone if I ever get it...

You'll forget this mess in a day or two... And you'll enjoy your phone for the next year or two or three... :)

It should go directly to AK. I recall yesterday's flights between these cities landed around 6PM EDT. I'll need to see when it takes off on flightaware.com.

Hmmm. Just checked flightaware and there's no planes going out from Incheon to Anchorage yet. It's Wednesday 1AM in Incheon. The last plane that left to Anchorage was around 1146PM Tuesday in Incheon.

:(

I had a 19th delivery date. As mentioned way back, Apple goofed my reservation # and could not get it to process resulting in a reorder.

Yeah I'm going to go out on a limb and blame UPS for this one. Apple never told me it would be delivered early but UPS said Monday, then Tuesday, now Wednesday. Don't promise things if it's going to take you 37 hours to get the shipment moving in Shanghai and 8.5 to clear customs. So much for UPS being so good at expediting customs clearance.

That said, I've almost never had a problem with UPS domestic but obviously their international team gave up after delivering launch day phones last week.

Ye, the problem is not the time it takes to get stuff across the planet.. the problem is that UPS states completely stupid and unreliable delivery dates. This gives the impression that the packages are late when in fact anyone with experience would have know better (as Apple does for that matter as their expected delivery date seems more right...)

As for me, I’m sure I will enjoy my phone, perhaps even moreso because of what it took to get it. In fact, I already have my first day with phone planned out.

1. Unbox (carefully) and put in a case

2. Activate, restore data, play with it a while;

3. Go check out all the other Macrumors threads I’ve been neglecting since 9/18 while being devoted to this one;

4. Get freaked out by all of the issues people have noted with those phones in all of those threads; and

5. Huddle under some blankets in a fetal position with my phone, an electron microscope and some calipers checking my phone for every last one of those issues.

I am really not angry at anyone...the simple fact that millions of phones can be shipped from the other side of the world in a matter of days is amazing in and of itself.

But it IS frustrating for UPS to continually give me a "scheduled" delivery date. To me, scheduled means it's a for sure thing. They should call it an estimated date instead.

And they clearly need to make their different systems communicate with one another better. I received a delivery notice on my phone this morning that my package was out for delivery, and then a few minutes later an e-mail saying the same thing. But my package is still in Louisville and not expected until tomorrow.

Mine finally changed to status import scan in Louisville. A few minutes later delivery date was changed from 9-23 to 9-24.

Quite frankly, I don't agree with this. They provided dates they couldn't live up to, and did not inform anyone of the delay.

Its not the end of the world, but I really don't think anyone should be letting UPS off the hook here. UPS deals with security scans and customs every day. I don't care. Make it work. Don't provide people with delivery dates you have no intention of keeping.

Personally, I have not been affected by this, as my date still shows as Thursday....but I wouldn't be as jovial if he had been quoted Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday, taken off work, etc.. as some people have.

I just got ANOTHER departure scan from Shanghai after my phone was last scanned in Incheon this morning. What the hell is happening?!?!

Shanghai, China 09/24/2014 12:03 A.M. Departure Scan
Shanghai, China 09/23/2014 11:24 P.M. Departure Scan
Incheon, Korea, Republic of 09/23/2014 7:56 P.M. Arrival Scan
ZhengZhou, China 09/23/2014 4:46 P.M. Departure Scan
Shanghai, China 09/22/2014 9:40 P.M. Arrival Scan
ZhengZhou, China 09/22/2014 8:40 P.M. Departure Scan
09/22/2014 5:44 P.M. Location Scan
09/22/2014 5:09 P.M. Origin Scan

Wow, So ups delivered my phone at 12:15 and had 2 boxes with him, I thought nice my case also came at the same time how perfect was that.

I then noticed that both boxes had the same weight. They delivered 2 iPhone 6 Plus's to my house lol.

They stuck my name and address on a label and stuck it over their name and address for whatever reason.

I see that person's cell number so I guess i'll call them up and tell them.
