I was originally 10/1 - 10/6 for delivery but I called Apple and they expideted the shipping for me for free.

Is this something new? I assume there is some sort of grandfathering as I see no increase in my monthly bill and I don't do Next.

Just saw this. I don't know what this is also. My plan on my order reads like the one I have for my iPhone 5, no $40 a month fee. My email this morning didn't state any changes, new fees.

If they do slap that on me - AFTER I activate the 6 Plus, I will be heading to the ATT store and will have a few choice words. That's not what I was quoted, that $40 a month is BS!

Probably cuz you're still a good bit behind in the Oct 1 - Oct 6 list seeing as you ordered 3 hours after page went live. I ordered probably within 30 minutes of it going live. It should change for you within a few hours barring any issues with your payment method.

Same with us. Both of the 6pluses we ordered are no longer cancelable, show Preparing for Shipment, and our CC was charged today.

I won't expect them tomorrow, but I'm guessing this guarantees we don't have to wait till Oct 1-6 now!

I was debating going to the store and trying to get one and cancel my pre-order, but my order changed to "Preparing for Shipment". My card was charged also. Guess I should be thankful that I can't force myself to line up and chance it to find a 6+ 128GB lol

I just hope it delivers before the Oct 1 - 6 date. My father leaves the country on Oct 2nd and I'm planning on giving him my iPhone 5.

Here's what my order says:

Preparing for Shipment Available to ship: 7- 10 business days
Delivers: Oct 1 - Oct 6 by Standard Shipping
Not eligible to cancel or return

The ONLY way its possible is if cancellations and other logistics frees up some of those prepositioned phones that shipped to the US last week. But I'm not holding my breath either

The red flags with this post are:

1. First time post.
2. Appeals to very anxious and impatient purchasers.
3. Makes a claim that has never occurred before.
4. Makes a claim that contradicts UPS and Fed Ex policy- If these items had shipped UPS and Fed Ex would have sent tracking info.

In short, if you believe this without any other corroborating facts and accept hearsay than you are likely to believe your iPhone will be delivered by an Umpaloompa.

Don't let someone get your hopes up just for kicks.

Agreed. And some of my friends are reporting that their UPS tracking status indicates that their shipment is originating out of Harrisburg, PA. Not Zhengzhou China like some others. Looks to me as if Apple already sent some big shipments to its US warehouses and is shippjng directly from the warehouse.

I'm not kidding. Just got off the phone. And they're telling "annoying" people they have upgraded them for expedited shipping free. Just and FYI, Apple's contract with UPS is ALWAYS Overnight shipping!
