I work for Ups and we have a huge account with Apple for their shipments. It's rare that your going to get a FedEx shipment unless it's shipped from the carriers. Very few shipments are FedEx. Ups is 99.99% going to be at your door if you ordered from Apple.

Everything I've ever gotten from Apple has been from Fedex. Go figure.

Found my numbers in FedEx and have the same result, also put in 2 random numbers with the same length and got no results. UPS yields me absolutely nothing no matter which numbers I try. Hmm...

Saw that some of you were having success with this and tried the same... Looks legit. I used my order number, phone number, and 9-digit zip code.

My hopes are low... But its better than nothing!

Sorry to break it to you, but putting in W123456789 / 123456789 for the reference and 12345-6789 for the zip comes up with an in transit status.

So you should see your serial number on your apple profile then?

Negative... Just like the rest it states when clicking on the FedEx search results:

"Unfortunately we are unable to retrieve your tracking results at this time. Please try again later."

Sigh. Well, we may not have iPhones, but at least we have lifetime jobs with FedEx detecting bugs in their website.

Everyone's hopes and dreams are now shattered....

So why does FedEx even have this reference number tracking system if it's that screwed up?

Legit question.

All of those who are now in the "Preparing to ship" status, did you complete the order with no problems on the Apple Store App, website around 5am ET when it came back online.

Just wondering if us stuck in the "Processing" page is because we had to complete the order through that reservation email - received 3, 4 hours later. Orders were pushed back and day..maybe 2. Maybe 3? ugh.

both on app. 1st one on iPad app finally at 1:01 a.m. and 2nd one on iPhone at 1:54 a.m.

well while we are all patiently waiting for the next big update and in-between"refreshing" does anyone know the case availability and best place to get one tomorrow?

Carrier retailers already have cases available; allegedly the Apple Stores will have plenty of cases tomorrow as well.

If you put in your 9 digit zip code in UPS tracking by reference and pick Mail Innovations, It shows a package for me but doesn't have any details.

EDIT: Never mind i debunked that. Changed the ship date to 9/1/14 and it still shows up.

Went to my local VZW store tonight and they had a bunch of iPhone 6 case options available, but only two boring iPhone 6 Plus case options. None of the Apple cases available either.
