October 12-19 Delivery thread

Kind of weird...my 10/12-19 watch, which was moved up first to 9/27 and then to today 9/25 for delivery, is still showing in KY as of 2:30pm EST, against a 4:30pm EST delivery estimate. In NY.

That's a mean trick if they pull it off. Unless the UPS updates aren't working properly, hard to see how my watch gets here today.

Mine was supposed to be delivered today but was delayed for one day because UPS was "unable to load the package on the plane as scheduled" in Louisville. Still in Louisville....

Didn’t get mine. Does the UPS site give you that info, or a human? When I called an hour or so ago all they did was ready the tracking info to me, which was that it was cleared into KY very early this morning.

That's what it says on the UPS tracking site. It still looks like it's in Louisville, but says it will be delivered by today. That seems unlikely now unless it leaves Louisville soon.

Well, woke up to find my date is back to 9/27. Still shows it’s in KY on the UPS site. Annoying but I guess I shouldn’t get greedy considering the original date window.

According to the UPS tracking, 9/27 is the date it was "originally scheduled for" so looks like the same for me.

my sb aluminum just shipped from China by fedex.To arrive Oct.1. Most are shipping ups haven’t seen fedex delivery on here.anyone else coming fedex?

I was in this range for my SSSB 44 with Black Sport Band. Kept checking iStock and then late yesterday, one local Apple Store added 3 SS Watches, so I quickly grabbed the SSSB and cancelled my order.

Before that, each of the stores only had aluminum and the other four stores still only had aluminum. I guess it pays to check iStock.

Whoa. Mine too. That sucks. Jeez. The one I want is available (still) at 4 stores in NYC. I'd rather not cancel but maybe I will at this point.

Yeah hard to tell. I assume that it could just as easily leave Louisville tomorrow and arrive by Friday, so probably worth waiting. At least until the weekend maybe. I don't see why it would just sit there for days. Perhaps since our orders are still way ahead of the initial delivery window, they have been assigned "low priority" and we just keep getting bumped off planes? Who knows...

EDIT: the "delay" label as well as the note about being unable to be loaded on a plane has been removed. It now just shows "in transit" status with an import scan of Louisville as the last event, still with an Oct 5 delivery date.

Could be. I'm on the phone with UPS now to see if I can shake anything loose. Rep said she still shows 9/27, but then had me hold on to check into things. I'm on hold now.

Ok she came back from hold and said that it's is part of a large consolidated order where they hold all the parcels at the import stage until every parcel in the consolidated order arrives there. She said the consolidated order in my case (at least) was over 400 parcels, but she didn't know or couldn't say how many of those had arrived aside from mine. She said that Apple shipments from China are "always this way" for product launches, but usually the entire consolidated parcels arrive together. In this case they apparently did not.

She further claimed that in her system it still shows delivery set for Friday 9/27 (despite UPS.com saying 10/5) and that she would monitor it and contact me by phone or email by 11am EST tomorrow regardless. I find the latter claim amazing, if true.

Not sure how much to believe, if any of it! But, she didn't seem to be talking out of her ass if that matters. Truly sounded like she knew what she was talking about. I'll wait and see.

Interesting - I've had the same experience with you all with the dates jumping and mine now showing 10/5 as delivery date "delayed"

seems to have had a second import scan in Louisville at 3:33PM today

UPDATE: @anthonymoody - departed Louisville at 5:44pm

UPDATE #2: arrived at regional UPS hub... looks good for 9/27, or 9/28 at the latest

And we're back to crickets on this thread as we all wait... I don't know why but I keep checking my order status at least twice a day.... silly given I'll get two alerts from my CC company when they do charge my card....and even sillier since it will get here when it gets here and nothing I do will change that....

Mine came today at about 530pm. Sorry I had to set it up and run out for the evening.

Anyway, love it, super happy to have it. Hope you all get yours ASAP!

Mine arrived yesterday about 3pm. It still said Oct 5th delivery online even though the status update had it loaded on the truck then out for delivery yesterday.
