offically factory unlocked iphone 4s Order Status Thread (not the AT&T unlocked one)

Ordered 11/11/11 64GB Black and I also have the expected delivery dates of Nov 28 - Dec 5. Such a long time!

Technically, the receipt on the "device only" phone states that it is "configured to run on the wireless network of AT&T Wireless" only. Of course, there is no such company called AT&T Wireless (it's AT&T Mobility), but the point is that it does say on the receipt. However, it just says "configured," not that it will be locked, etc., or that AT&T can request that it be locked later.
I would have preferred to order the "official" unlocked version, but since it just came out I went ahead with the AT&T unlocked version. My return period ends Friday, but the unlocked model won't ship until December 5th, so I'll take my chances that Apple won't lock the phone (which they haven't to date on the "AT&T unlocked" iPhone 4, which went on sale several months ago).
did any one returned a AT&T unlocked iphone 4s and now waiting for the officially unlocked iphone 4s?
some of those sellers actually got iphones from Canada(where they are selling unlocked version since day one) or they are selling AT&T version unlocked iphones .
when you buy a AT&T iphone 4s as device only from apple store these phones are unlocked too, but people who fear these phones might get locked in future just want to wait for official unlocked iphone which apple will start shipping any time
anyone able to get one at an apple retail store yet? I've been calling my local one every day and they still haven't gottten them..
That's not necessarily true.
The problem lies in the fact it is a progressive disease with which we have been afflicted.
Once the "Buy Now" button finally appeared, and you pressed it, temporary relief can only be achieved through multiple daily visits to your order status page.
Final cure lies solely in the hands of skilled express courier drivers.

Do you remember what time you placed the order at? Just wondering because I ordered mine a little later in the afternoon (same model) and it hasn't yet entered the Preparing For Shipment stage.
