Hey I considered ordering one online today too. Cause I keep calling the apple retail stores and they don't seem to have any info at all. And I'm not even sure they will get it in november as they previously told me. Now they just say no info. And from what people have been saying it seems to arrive earlier than what it the date says. I need to get it before I travel for Christmas!

Can you please update on what your status on the order is now?

And has anyone ordered the iphone to Honolulu? Where does it ship from and does that take longer time?

Ordered 2 16GB White on 11th Nov, got 2 tracking one said 29th Delivery currently at Lantau Island.

One said 28th Delivery, not even picked up yet :mad:



Anybody got it already that is earlier than the estimated delivery date?

I'm leaving december and was afraid the phone might not come in time. And the retail store people kept telling me they got told it will be in the retail store in november so then I thought I would just wait to be sure. But today they told me they have no info and doesn't even know if it's gonna come to the retail store at all! I'm so annoyed. Cause now I don't know if I should order it here, or to the place I'm travelling too. Trying to figure out how long it will take if I order today. I live in Honolulu
 
Hmmmm. got mine today. 64GB black. not sure about this one.
looks like there are two horizontal lines running across the whole screen...one at about the bottom third and one around the top third to half. its not like the pixels are dead....it just looks kind of strange like they are registering a slightly different color or something. I will have to take it in to the store for a look.
annoying.
 
what do you guys think a 16gb or 32gb factory unlock 4s will be worth resale wise when the new one comes out considering this time we are certain there will be a design change which always causes major price drops? THAT is my only holdback in getting factory unlocked vs att
 
Hoping for the best

Mine was booked by a friend living in Boston on 11/21 and shows delivery date between 5th-12th December. i'm currently living in India and he is flying down on the 9th! What are my chances of getting my 16GB black delivered in Boston before that?
Most of the lucky ones here seem to be receiving it well before the delivery date so I am hoping for the best.

Received mine this afternoon (64GB White ordered on the 13th) :) This is to Hawaii which normally is one of the slowest in terms of FedEx delivery timeframes. Therefore, those on the continent whose delivery dates were between Nov 25-Dec 5 should most likely get theirs by Friday at the latest.

The tracking info on the website also seems to lag periodically. Earlier in the day, the last scan showed it was still in Memphis when in reality, it had already arrived at the local sort facility and was out on the truck for delivery.

Order it online cause it wont show up in stores till December the official unlocked iPhones

just got my iphone shipped from 5 mins ago.
ordered on 15 ,get to preparing for shipment at 21 ,and shipped today (23), hopefully it get here before 28 :)
One strange thing is my apple still not take the money from my bank,just hold it :)

they will take out the money soon as your iPhone has been shipped now

i called apple twice there 800 and was informed that it wont be in stores for a while as u can see there shipping it direct from China, since they did not
push out a lot for stores. also the fact that they have 3 carriers in the us
that they get kick backs from selling a contract iPhone 4s to unlocked iPhone 4s

Don't spread fear on a topic you know nothing about.

I have a new unlocked iPhone 4s that I purchased (like I do every year) from AT&T for the standard price of $199.00.

When you are a good AT&T long term customer who has excellent credit and pays their bill promptly, this is one of nice courtesies that AT&T extends to their valuable customers for free.

There is no such thing as the "fear of the phone getting locked".

I've never heard of such paranoia.

AT&T unlock iPhones for their valuable customers for free? since when?
