yes most people are not seeing that with Officially unlocked iphone 4s but as long as your have one of those models which are listed as unlocked don't worry about it too much ... don't make any extra efforts of getting tmobile sim or any thing.... u are fine ...

just received my official unlocked phone.

after plugging into iTunes it does not show the message "congrats your iphone is now unlocked.."

However, tried other SIM and it worked so I wouldn't worry much.

thanks, but do you know when in December?
Cause I just checked to order on the online store and shipping dates are now Dec 7-14. And I actually leave on the 14th! Which sucks, cause I'm gonna be long for a long time and I don't want my phone to be stuck here waiting for me Should've ordered when it first came out, but apple retail store people kept assuring me it would get in store in november!

And I don't know how much time it takes to Honolulu, cause it seems like most people get it earlier than the stated date but is that the same for Hawaii? I've noticed shipping here is different than on the mainland.

No, since 28th october AFAIK.

It's strange that you guys haven't had the chance to get these unlocked phones yet! There aren't any in the stores over here either, i searched i 20 stores before i got one second hand that was brand new in box that was bought from the UK for 50EUR less than i was willing to pay, so i guess i got lucky hehe.

i called apple twice there 800 and was informed that it wont be in stores for a while as u can see there shipping it direct from China, since they did not
push out a lot for stores. also the fact that they have 3 carriers in the us
that they get kick backs from selling a contract iPhone 4s to unlocked iPhone 4s

The people at Apple that answer your phone calls don't know any more than the people at the stores do. Apple keeps all this info under lock and key. If this info is to be trusted, I hope I will be able to get one before christmas as that would be the ultimate treat for myself!

it arrives. then when u go to the store they charge.
maybe if u have non profit tax exempt.
