My wife tells me there is a package from Microsoft waiting for me at home. I'll let you guys know tonight. She was in a bad mood (I got the standard "what do you buy now!?" treatment) and I didn't want to push my luck by asking her to open it

Maybe it's a copy of Vista :D

Did you get any email from Microsoft or did MSO 2008 just suddenly show up?

Can't speak for kbmb, but mine just showed up. In fact, I got an annoying email over the weekend telling me my order has been delayed until March 10. No wonder Vista doesn't work right

Thanks! That raises my hope a bit since I've heard squat about my order and was simply told to resubmit when I called to follow up.

Note to self: do not buy Order Fulfillment applications from Microsoft...

Before Windows Vista was released, Microsoft ran a similar promotion for people buying Windows XP, however, they got VERY BAD reviews and feedback from millions of people that weren't receiving the Vista upgrades.

It took me 6 months of arguing and threatening legal action before I finally received my Windows Vista upgrade.

I certainly wouldn't expect anything from them soon.

Called the number that someone posted. Was told that their systems were down and to call back tomorrow.

Guess I'll wait another day to see the status of my upgrade order ($6.99 shipping)

Received it today (1/28)

Home & Student arrived via Airborne Express today. :) I had no previous emails/warning from MS.
However, I did not [yet] receive Expression Media for Mac:confused:

I thought you only got Expression Media if you selected the Special Media Edition? I don't think it comes with the Home/Student version.

I can confirm I received Office Mac 2008 today. Again, no emails (other than the strange one telling me the product is backordered). I checked my credit card activity just now and there is a $6.99 charge from Microsoft posted on the 26th.

Got a reply email that said my order is still "Pending" due to processing time, which they said could take 2-4 weeks.

I'm in no hurry, but will explore the upgrade once it arrives.

What's the link to check your rebate status? I checked it a few days ago and it said it wasn't received. Which is stupid because I sent it like three weeks ago.

I haven't gotten mine yet, but it did say six to eight weeks I believe. I just checked the my order status and it said "Order submitted".

…
Three weeks ago?! Man -- did you not know MS ran a promotion on Black Friday wherein you got a $100 rebate on Office 2004? Can't believe anyone would bother buying Office 2004 after that, unless they absolutely had to have it

Mine keeps changing the shipping date. It was march 10th the other day it said the 01/25 then 02/08 and now it says 01/28 (today) I think they're messing with me. Did your status show shipped before you received it?

Just got my Home and Student version today. Showed up out of the blue which was a nice surprise. I didn't get the Expression Web piece either so I'll just wait and see how that turns out.

Any of you guys with Home edition in hand and no Expression Media get a response from Microsoft yet??

I havn't turned in my form yet - was debating which edition- don't need exchange support and automators actions seem virtually worthless so it seemed the home edition offering 3 licenses vs the 1 for special media edition was the obvious way to go - if they are not actually shipping Expression Media then I might change my mind (assumign Expresion is really worth having - is it??)
