I wish I know who the benefit administrator is?!?!?

I asked them some time ago. Today I got this response:

Microsoft HUP Team said:
ear Robbie,

Thank you for your email.

We are unable to inform you about who your benefit administrator is as
we can not see into your agreement. We would advise that you speak to
the person who provided you with the programme code.

Kind regards

Very helpful, not.

Office X and 2004 are both missing from my order page now too. I'll still keep checking periodically and see what happens.

I believe that the "benefit administrator" is the person in your company who deals with volume licensing.

Mac for Office 2008 just posted for purchase on my University Site. My University offers Microsoft products at a greatly reduced price. I have been waiting for this and was able to snag it...should not be too long for the HUP folks as well!

The university I work at offers MAC 2008. However, they don't have it yet and they said check back in the spring. For home users the cost is 10 bucks and I think they just burn us a copy or something like that. Not quite sure.

I just got a Reply BIG HELP!

Hello all I am new to this board however I have been following this thread since I too am waiting for office 2008 to be posted on HUP Ijust got an email back from them and this is what it said

Thank you for your e-mail.

Please be advised that the Home Use Program hopes to add Office Mac 2008 to the listings shortly. However, we do not have an exact date as to when this will be. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We do update our listings on a monthly basis. You may want to check back at a later date, to see if the product that you wish to purchase has become available. Please visit the following website http://hup.microsoft.com.

If we can provide any other assistance, please let us know.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft.

Anyone else heard anything else ?

There's definitely something going on with the Microsoft HUP if they've taken Mac Office 2004 and mac Office vX off the site (which I can confirm they have).

Hopefully they're getting ready to put up Mac Office 2008. My guess (and that's all it is) is for a 1st March release.

I'm subscribing to this forum, so please make sure someone posts a message when office 2008 finally arrives on the HUP site :)

i've received my copy office mac 2004 this week so if you feel the need have something to tide you over in the mean time it is still available. the site was a little strange though as some days it didn't show up but other times it does, weird:confused:

Yes, I just logged in today and noticed all the Mac options are now missing. It really gave me a bit of a surprise.

I really wish they would add '08 already! This is getting irritating.

I agree. I've been waiting for months to get it. I'm not sure what the delay is, since it has already hit the shelves of most retails and internet sales stores.

Latest Update from Microsoft

Here is what I got back from them so Hopefuly this means SOON!
Thank you for your email.

The Home Use Program is currently being revised so that we may add Office for Mac 2008 as part of the product listings. The removal of the Office for Mac as an option on our website is temporary and will be available once the Office for Mac 2008 is ready to be added.

We do update our listings on a monthly basis. You may want to check back at a later date, to see if the product that you wish to purchase has become available. Please visit the following website http://hup.microsoft.com.

Well, they did say that they update on a monthly basis. Makes sense to me that they are updating it at the start of every month, hence by Monday we should be able to get it!

Interestingly site seems to be working fine for me at the moment - but no mac products on offer...wouldn't get hopes up too much!

I've just given up and ordered iWork. In accordance with Murphy's law, the site will be updated tomorrow.

Looks like they've taken off all Mac products from the HUP order page. Would suggest that an update is immanent?

:)

Just a little more info to give us all hope. I "switched" back in February and ordered Office 2004 through our HUP. However, I received the following email last week, which I'm also hoping means I really get Office 2008:

Following is a list of the items in your order that are on back order:

Part Number: 731-01223
Product Name: Office Mac 2004 English Direct CD Home Use Rights
Qty: 1

New Estimated Delivery Date: April 14, 2008

April?

I know this is the obvious statement in the room but I did get an email back from the HUP team that may indicate an April 1st launch (or a really cruel April fools day trick with a lot of pre-meditation):

Hello Erik,

Thank you for your response.

We would recommend that you check the HUP website again in the beginning of April to see if Office Mac 2008 has been added.

If we can provide any other assistance, please let us know.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft.

Something more to give us hope...

I just got this from Microsoft HUP, looks like April it is.

Great news.

Guess it makes sense for MS to ensure they release a less buggy version of Office 2008 via the HUP compared to what's been available off-the-shelf. So I'll happily wait till April.

I got this reply this week:
