As bad he did last night, what's worse- Clemens not striking anyone out or the Yanks not scoring any runs?
He was doing decent- until that 6th inning. No run support by the offense though is just pathetic. It's really hard to watch these games.
The braves had one run over the course of like 41 innings (scoreless in 31 one innings), so I know how you feel about not hitting runs.
Though good God, the offense decided to wake up...
clemens is ugh...but at least he signed a ball for me. i have to credit him for that, but then again, my friend is in the astros system, probably did it as a favor to a fellow person in the system.
13 runs and 22 hits...wow. hope this lasts through the road trip. and the new wallpaper i splattered on isn't coming off as long as we keep winning. i may post it in the july wallpaper since it's almost july.

all star announcments the apple way
if apple ran the all star announcements, here's how it would go.
1. the announcements of the all stars would be made the day before in whatever city the game is in, right before batting practice. big event to announce the all star members on the field.
2. rumors would be flying in the week before to find out the all stars (like rumor: renteria received phone call from la russa, all star?), or (rumor: arod headed to all star city), and stuff like that. it will be fun seeing speculation stories fly around as the only ones that know about the all stars would be people in mlb.
3. everything would be kept as minimal as possible, extra security around players before festivities start so they don't find out, but rumors would go with pictures.

The way Apple releases stuff before they even acknowledge anything about it is really tedious. I can live with it with their products but I dunno about doing All-Star announcements that way.

Someone explain how Barry Bonds was voted into the starting line up. he should not even be in the all star game IMO. And how can Ortiz be voted in as a first baseman if he is a DH. I don't understand how he should be allowed to take away from a true first baseman that deserves a spot. I think they should have a rule change that if there isn't going to be a DH in the game then why allow a DH to be voted in. Either add a DH or let a true first baseman start.

Similarly, why is Manny Ramirez consistently voted into the all star game (albeit a back-up outfielder) if he always refuses to play?
He deserves a spot, and this isn't an attack on the sox, but shouldn't Manny play for his fans?
