Thanks Google!

Its great how Google is contributing to the iOS ecosystem. The more great apps that get made, the better it is for everybody.

itunes match is 29.99 a year and offer your entire music library plus itunes radio without advertisments. seems a lot better than 120 a year with less to offer

i don't know what uncluded is but i get everysong i have ever purchased and uploaded to their cloud at a fraction of the price. as a bonus i get a massive selection (no clue the number of songs) in playlists based on numerous factors at my fingertips in seconds...and as an added bonus its cross platform on my aTV and iTunes. incomparably sufficient.

Hmm I use iTunes Match and Spotify and don't miss google at all. Since we're patting google on the back for bringing stuff to ios how about doing the same with Apple for allowing competitive products in the App Store. How many google apps are available on Kindle Fires?

I have used Google Music I even uploaded all my songs on it I like it but hated that I could never was able to use on my iOS device. The only way I could access Google Music on my iOS device was through Safari browser but it would always crash, so yeah I gave up on it.

I know you can stream tracks like Spotify on Google Music but iTunes Match is still cheaper, $9.99 for 12 months is more than iTunes Match.

iTunes Match and Google Play Music All Access (the $9.99/month you're referring to) are not exactly the same. With All Access you can listen to anything in Google's Play Music library, not just the music you own. And while you can use it like you would use Rdio, iTunes Radio or Pandora to create a station based on a song or artist (with no ads and unlimited skips), you can also select any specific song at any time, build a specific playlist and either stream it or download it to keep locally on your device to listen whenever you'd like.

Some may not find the extra $120/year (or $96 for those of us that signed up the first month after launch ;)) worthwhile and that's fine but I prefer it because it's like having iTunes Radio + your iTunes library + Spotify all in a single app. This was one obstacle to my ever returning to the iPhone. One down, a few more to go...

I honestly don't see the point with Spotify. For $120 a year, I can buy around 100 songs in itunes, which are mine. And if I had to pay for a service, Id go for spottily, that is tested and around for quite some time.

How could you not see the point of it? It's unlimited music wherever you want, whenever you want. iTunes is great if your library is limited. Otherwise, Spotify/Rdio is the way to go.

Yes it's more expensive but you get your entire music library (my entire library is in iTunes and it's automatically synced with Google Music), plus Google's version of iTunes Radio without advertisements, plus access to Googles entire music library to listen to however you'd like (any track, any time, streamed or downloaded to your device). For some, that's worth an extra $90/year.

Hmm...seems to me I can do this with Spotify right now. I have tons of offline music on my iPhone that I listen to ever day with Spotify. I use iTunes radio for discovery since I've had better luck with that than Spotify radio right now.

YES!!!!!!
This is one of the reason's that I was not wanting to get a iPhone again. I love this service so much! I can upload my music and stream whatever i want. To me its well worth the $10/month

Hi rez?

Anyone care about the quality of their music?

If I pump an MP3 through my Wilson Speakers, My Pass mono-blocks, over my Nordost cables, will it still sound like crap?

Youth is wasted on the young.

Oh, not saying it's better than Spotify, just clarifying how it's different, especially from iTunes Match/iTunes Radio.

I prefer it because I get all of my music (my own library plus custom radio stations and ability to try any other specific songs/albums) in a single app on my phone/tablet.

I care, even without listing my audio inventory. ;)

No, its not whenever I want it. Only as long as you pay, when you stop, you have nothing. With itunes, I own my music. And honestly, I don't give a $%£$ about having access to ALL THE COLLECTIONS, since 95% of the music out there is crap. I know what I like, I buy it, I own it.

I love Apple logic - if it costs more and it's Apple, it's 'you know, to get a quality product, I don't mind spending the money'. If it costs more and it's not Apple, it's 'i'm not spending money on this!'

 Love to know where I stated if something costs more it is Apple and Quality? I love that logic because anyone who spends any sort of money is a Android fan boy.

Thank god I was good in math.

I tried using the Amazon Cloud Player app because I purchased more music from Amazon but I gave up because I can't control it with Siri. I'm guessing this app will have the same limitation.

It's really no different that paying monthly for cable or satellite TV. Sure you can record any program you'd like on your DVR but as soon as you cancel service, you have to return your DVR and lose anything you've recorded.

If you get all of your TV programming ala carte via iTunes, Amazon, Hulu or some other service, that's fine. Why begrudge someone else you chooses the alternative?

My guess is that Apple benefits greatly by being able to offer superior apps in its store. So much so that they used to pay Google big bucks to write them.

Apple is trying to be self sufficient with stuff like Maps, but with mixed success. They should be grateful to Google for everything it has done for them.

I don't buy anything off of iTunes or Google Play but I use iTunes Match for cloud storage of my own music and I use Google Music for free storage of all of my audiobooks.
It's a great combination.
