I tried it out in their early sign up period since they would allow you to keep it for 7.99 a month, but I ended up cancelling.

I prefer MOG and iTunes Match. I don't like working with a browser when I want to listen to music. I prefer MOG's desktop app. Also, there are features on MOG that I did not see on Google. One of those is a slider for "radio" that allows you to choose only music from one artist or as you slide to the right, it will add more artists. iTunes Radio has a similar feature, but it doesn't have an all by one artist feature.

The upside to iTunes Match is its integration with Siri. My car has Bluetooth audio, so I can hit the Siri button, tell it an artist to play, and it will start playing. Same thing for Radio stations I have set up. It is very convenient when I am using Airplay at home, too.

Personally, I don't care if my music is available from the same app. I know that if I want to listen to my music, I can use iTunes or another app (I have a few that will stream from home). If I want something else, I use MOG. Not really a big deal or much of a timesaver.

Interesting... I went the opposite way. I was a MOG subscriber before Spotify came to the USA. I generally disliked the UI on both the web and desktop, and picked it because it was the only one with high bitrate and good indie selection at the time. I canceled as soon as Spotify was here. I still root for MOG though... it always seemed like the underdog that offered more than the hipster-friendly rdio.

Since we're patting google on the back for bringing stuff to ios how about doing the same with Apple for allowing competitive products in the App Store.

One of the most ridiculous comments ive ever seen on here!

You think people should be congratulating Apple for allowing its customers to have more choice?! Says it all really!

I got a free account with Spotify when they were first introduced to the USA and I didn't see a reason to switch. I still have it on my computer, but I can't remember the last time I launched it.

My main reason for staying with MOG was that they were the first with 320kbps on desktop, they beat Spotify to an iPad app, and they beat Spotify to 320kbps iPhone streaming. I am not sure what Spotify would have done if there wasn't a leader showing them the way. As a result, I am sticking to MOG unless someone comes out with the same thing for less money.

Unless the app launches today, it looks like they're going to miss yet another deadline they announced. I don't know what's taking Google so long to get this done.

It very well could be on the apple side of the fence. Regardless, I am quite looking forward to this as the 3rd party all music access don't quite cut the mustard. I hope it's sooner than later though, it's been awfully quiet on the front over the last week without so much a whisper of it.

i doubt it's apples side of the fence, google's been good at crying bloody murder when that's the case.

Yeah I'm ready for it. I like the fact that I can get all my music through the web interface and instantly download it to my phone. that is the only thing i miss about not using an android phone. i really don't want to go back to spotify. If iTunes Match had a locker then it would be perfect.

Because Google are GREAT at selling music... honest!

I do; it's Google.
