Computer Scientist for Computer Sciences Corporation, working on a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (Bureau of Customs and Border Protection) contract.

Oh, and spending any available time on MacRumors looking up good juicy stuff to post :)

i do graphic design *and* photography *and* web design *and* marketing for a brick manufacturer. it's a pretty cool job, but sometimes i don't like being the resident artsy person.

the crappy part is that my card says "marketing", when in reality that's only about 15% of what i do here.

Full-time student but during the summer I have a internship in IT at Morgan Stanley in London.:)

I am a Graphic Designer working in a Marketing Department for a large TV networks in the US, located in Los Angeles. I just graduated two years ago was an intern at the local stations then got hired to work for Network. Been good experience, I honestly still surprise why or how I got to where I am when many of my friends in same field are struggling and I think they have good creative minds. I guess thats fate.

Although I want to get into Freelancing but I have no idea how the Business/Accounting/Legal issues is dealt with problaly gonna go to a local community college to get some information.

I do interpreting (english-spanish) to pay for my college life during summer and winter breaks. During the school year I work in a mac computer lab and I do a paid internship for a marketing and public relations section of the university.

I thought I was going to go into marketing or advertising when I graduated but I was given an opportunity I can't refuse. I'm going to plan and oversee construction of condominiums on the beaches of Costa Rica and then see that they get sold to American retirees and those who wish to have vacation homes. Basically I'm getting a paid vacation to show the beaches of Costa Rica (gorgeous). This is a venture between my father and myself. He's been doing real estate in the cities of Costa Rica for awhile and wants to move to building on the beaches. He needs my help to network here in the states as well as use what I've learned in advertising so I'm very excited at the prospect of being my own boss and getting to have this opportunity.

Basically, if anyone is interested in buying a condo in the amazing beaches of Costa Rica let me know ;)

I'm a Systems Analyst (IT), but...

I spose I consider myself an all-rounder... I have always worked in IT. But I spose I could do something else if I wanted to.

Eg. I could completely strip down a car and rebuild it from the ground up (which I've done, to show-car level)..

I can build furniture (i love wood work), I can paint, pave, wire things up, do irrigation, etc. I spose I consider myself pretty handy.

Most people I know in the IT industry wouldn't really know how to operate a power drill or dig a hole in the ground... :)

Mr DIY!

That's a cool and underappreciated job, dadsp33k. Just like go-to-work jobs, it can be very rewarding (sometimes) and drive you nuts (other times).

no doubt.. i have a 5 y.o, 3, and 4 months and have done it for 5 years. i quit my career to do it. i love it but there are days i'm dressed and ready to take off the second she's home..lol

I do tons of different things for a non-profit conservation organization, but mainly dealing with our membership and secondarily the internal IT/tech support. It's a pretty neat job, I get to do lots of different tasks, I have almost complete autonomy, and I get to do something "good". If only the pay was better.

I am an unemployed freshman in HS.

I'm a senior in high school and I have a job as cashier at panera bread however I used to design and maintain websites. I am also currently working for an entertainment company shooting bar-mitzvahs and making promotional videos for the company. One day I wish to have a good movie production job. I know its hard but I'm pushing for it.

I'll be starting a new job next week, so I may as well update the thread. :)

I'll be an engineer in charge of focal-plane array development for a government contractor. The main use is for infrared cameras/detectors to go into satellites, warships, and aircraft. Should be interesting, but no iPhone for me! (no cameras allowed inside.)

Tech support guy in a chemical company. A whole day fixing other people's Windows problems makes you appreciate your time with your Mac even more. :p
