It's a good project, but it feels like I face an avalanche of work each day. That said, I love what I do, so I shouldn't whinge too loudly.

Running my own business (Search Engine Marketing) and going to college.

Actually moving to England next month to finish my degree in business information technology. :)

I'm a Test Engineer (CSTE) in the enterprise storage division of one of Apple's biggest competitors. ;)

I also write & perform in a singularly unprofitable goth/industrial rock band.

well, i HAVE a real job, but it's way boring.

even still, i thought i'd come in here and say that i WOULD love to have robert goulet's job! *swoons*

I am a journalist writing for two magazines.
I am the PR manager of the local green party.
I volunteer to help foreign students at University of Vienna.

and I am on my way to my BA degree here in Vienna (Major: Communication, Minor: Business Administration, Political Science and English) before I hopefully move to Ottawa/CAN or Melbourne/AUS to attend an anglophone University for my MA and PhD degree.

I am hired by my towns Board of Education Tech Support.

Basically my job is to unpack new computers, bring them to their new room in the schools, and bring back the old computers for relocation or disposal. I also rehookup the computers after the janitors unplug them and throw them in a giant heap on the other side of the room so they can clean the floors.

I make $8.62/hr, I am not reimbursed for gas (I drive around between 5 schools), and I had to spend $24 being fingerprinted (I am not reimbursed for that either) because its required if you work that the BOE.

It's not a bad job, I make more money then most of my friends that work at grocery stores. What I hate about my job is the lack of socialization and setting up computer after computer gets really boring. Its kinda sad when you don't have to look at the back of the computer to know where the ports are. I've set up at least 90 computers in the past week I would estimate and have unpacked about 70 new computers and lcd monitors.

I am a Senior Programmer/Analyst at a large company in San Diego that develops products that are used for wireless communications.

Most of my work involves loading, programming, administering and analyzing very large databases. I get to program in whatever gets the job done. :)

Consequently we use just about every language out there on every platform imaginable. It's a fun job with lots of variety. You can program on Oracle on Solaris one week, and the next week be working on Windows and SQL Server.

Wow, thanks!

I'm trying to make a living as an editorial illustrator (and wouldn't mind the fine-art print income)... in the meanwhile I supplement with graphic design work.

I really started focusing on my illustration work in the last couple years... I keep entering competitions, sending promo postcards to art directors at magazines, record labels, etc. ... only a couple bites so far.
