Official Smash Bros. Brawl Thread [SPOILERS!]

Oh I dunno if anything could top Brawl with the things they've announced. the 'Box is just better value. £5 each for HL2 and friends is worlds of awesome.

LOL. I agree that SSBB will be pretty awesome. I loved SSBM, and am really excited about SSBB.

SSBM actually got more play than Mario Kart this last generation. That's saying something.

Bit of an average update today, cept for the slightly over the top (and rightly so!) arrangement of Ashley's theme from WarioWare Touched.

But then there's the Japanese version :eek: I hope you can select this in the non-Japanese game!

Whilst the video loads I pray to every ruddy almighty God and Power there is that he does not sound as ultra cheesy as his latest games. Please everything NO. *awaits*

edit: it's possible they just made Sonic, for the first time in a decade, appealing.

edit 2: So that's Sony and Sega "mascots" in there, I can't imagine so if they had Master Chief in this game would have fanboy immunity.
 
At least the game is still coming. I'd say late Winter or early Spring 2008. We'll all be busy playing Super Mario Galaxy (among so many other games), anyway, so delaying Smash shouldn't be that big of a deal. :D Think about it, the game can only get better and better the more they delay it. So, this is actually a good thing! :)

Came in to work this morning, quickly checked the Smash Bros site and my jaw almost hit the floor.

YES!!!!

I watched the video and I am even doubly excited.

This is my game of the year, undoubtedly.

Yeah... but it it's delayed that far I have school to do while it's still new. ;)

Some guy on joystiq really cemented my feelings. (Note extreme profainty,highlight to see)

Seriously, delaying this game gets me a little upset.

I suspect in the next day or two we will find out sure if this is bad news or not. Hell it could be a week or two for us... I look at the google's cache for the japanese version of the site and I did not see a date even
mentioned.

I hoping my logic of "they have an internet infrastructure to support and it might be easier doing one country at a time" holds out.

Speaking of which I banged on about replayability in an interview I just did, I didn't know I liked it so much :p

We got the Wii first. We got Twilight Princess first. We got Metroid Prime 3 first IIRC. Why not?

On the US site the release date says "TBA" on the left column. Also, the latest teaser video they released says "coming soon" at the end, rather than a date.

On the other hand, the 12 July post still has the 3 December 2007 date on it, so who knows.
 
SSBB is such a hit that there's no way that we would get it after Japan. Maybe the same time but not after. After all arent' they doing both at the same time anyway? Sonic had his English voice/all his other ones at the same time...

If there was going to be a as big or bigger delay for the US, don't you think they would have announced it?
Did nintendo word "Jan 24" as a delay or just the release date? If their a transcript?
