Copy paste not working after jailbreak?

Anyone experiencing an intermitent loss in cut, copy and paste functions?

I haven't searched forums or web to see I this is an issue for others.

Is it?

any list of great apps for jailbroken iphone such as any wifi apps that allow wifi over 3g or any other great must have apps?

what about facetime over 3g with a 3gs? is that possible?
best multitasking app,

thanks, and yeah about 90 seconds and it was done!!

awesome!

That's a good question.

There is supposed to be a program you
can install that allows iTunes to backup
jailbroken apps and then restore them
if you need to rejailbreak down the road.

Anyone have more information on this?

Thanks

Jailbroke 2 of my iPhones in the last 2 days and kind of pissed that a lot of the good jb apps I have to buy

I believe you're talking about pkgbackup. It backs up all of your jb apps, cydia repos, etc. as a contact.

iPhone 4 on 4.0

Jailbroke yesterday no problem.

Had to update to 4.0.1 today because of exchange sync issue.

Go to re-jailbreak and it goes all the way through download the software and then closes out Safari. No jailbreak has occured.

Re-imaged with 4.0.1 again and same results.

Summary:
iPhone 4.0.1 - jailbreak software downloads - closes out safari w/out jb

Where does that contact reside in case I need to restore?

Really I was hoping there was something that you could
install that would fool iTunes into thinking it was a legitimate
app and it would store it in your normal backup.

Ok...so the fix is to restore after you upgrade.

1. Backup
2. Restore to new iOS as fresh install
3. Jailbreak
4. Sync

So, you feel that people should put their time and effort into developing incredibly feature rich apps that do some pretty amazing, including many that can't be done with a stock iPhone, create updates to add features, compatibility, provide support, and maintain it over time as new iOS versions are released...all for FREE to you because you happened to figure out how to type in a url and "slide to jailbreak"? You shouldn't feel a sense of entitlement just because you aren't in Steve's walled garden anymore.

I can't even begin to comprehend that logic.

+1

If an app is good then it's worth paying for.

Still can't jailbreak...is restore to new only solution

Okay I've tried every tip and trip out there and I would really like to get my upgraded iPhone 4 JB and get MyWi back! Has everyone had to restore to new to do jailbreakme and does it matter what version of iTunes I use? Thanks for any insight.

It's just stored among your regular contacts so make sure that you sync your contacts with iTunes or via MobileMe, etc. The contact is called pkg backup with a bunch of numbers after it. The app is actually really easy to use.

I've had good luck with the Rock app in this regard. Jailbreak, install Rock, log into Rock and hit restore from the backups.

Rock backs up your apps automatically. Also makes sure you change your password so you're not vulnerable to the OpenSSH exploits.

I know Rock has a bad rep, but love the back up feature....just used it when I had to go from 4.0 to 4.0.1 on my iPhone 4.

Also, can't live w/out Tlert. :)

...and I take it this Rock App will
back up all your apps?

Is this a free backup package or
does Rock charge for it?

I'd like the Jailbreak for just one week. I'll be away from a wifi network and want to use my wifi only iPad. Is this how it goes:

1) Backup iPhone 3GS.
2) Jailbreak.
3) Download MiWi.
4) Use iPad through MiWi for a week.
Then,
5) Download any photos I've taken to iPhoto.
6) Hit Restore in iTunes?

I guess any texts during that week will disappear. Anything else to consider? I'm synced with MobileMe - will this add any complications with regard to contacts and emails?

Many thanks.

real tethering

I really don't understand WHY somebody would want to JB their iPhone or iPad? I mean, literally, what exactly do you get from doing so?

I can tether my iPad and iPhone. Would have paid ATT to do it - but they refused to. So there you go.

I recently JB using jailbreakme.com... everything is working great.... the only problem is Itunes will not complete the sync... it will go through adding all the music and the just say it cannot sync.... I was wondering if there was a fix for this other than restoring because I've already did so much I really don't want to restore and start over at this point...
