It won't work. Odds are Apple has already closed the PDF exploit in the next update.

Just so you know, you were wrong.

I did the jailbreak and it took about a minute. I also unlocked the phone. The phone has been working with zero problems. Knock knock! :)

Now all the need is a slide to remove jailbreak to make it easier for us. I don't know if I want to jailbreak... Mostly because if it breaks and I can't restore it then it's gonna be bad. Maybe Cydia should try to get their app store approved by apple!:)

Wow. Droid X ad on a macrumors site. Just wow.

"Unjailbreaking" is just a matter of restoring your phone - it's that easy. With how simple this jailbreak is, it's the perfect time for fence dwellers to jump over to the dark side and at least try it. You're not going to ruin your phone and if you hate it (can't see why you would) you can easily restore it.

Does this have iOS 3.2.1 compatibility? I might do this on my iPod Touch 1G if it works.

Sorry if this has already been answered. I don't have the time to look through 900+ posts :p

For iPad? Yes.

My bad, my iPod's iOS version is 3.1.3. Does it work with that?

Nope you're out of luck.... maybe....

Wow, you can't even read the first ********* post?

I have confirmed that this works under iOS 3.1.3, and probably under iOS 3.x and 2.x. Maybe even 1.x?

Did the jailbreak and everything works great, one question tho - I went to show a friend the site and it said "Oops... It looks like the installer crashed last time you tried to jailbreak :( It might work if you try again." Is this a standard text that shows up after any attempt to install if you visit the site again? Just wondering.

same here....pretty sure just keep trying, it's probably overloaded, but would appreciate it if someone with more knowledge than me would reply :D

For another opinion, I'll say that this is easier than the previous JB, but taking that off of the iDevice is also easy. So far, I have only seen people having problems due to the JB server being overloaded. Some problems that were noticed right after the JB came out have quickly been fixed. Also, 2 days after doing my first JB, I'm not a hardcore user of Cydia apps, but what I have gotten have made it more fun & user friendly. What Apple did, JB developers did better.

I go to it now and it simply takes me to the info screen, so I think all is good. Posting this on my iPad via MyWy btw haha. ;)

Nevermind, still tells me that it looks like the installer crashed. Only thing is everything seems fine. Again, is this the page that comes up post jailbreak no matter if the procedure was successful or not? Anyone?

After sliding the screen to start the jailbreak, I forgot what the first screen said. But it then switched to a second screen that said "Sit tight". After that, you are jailbroken. It literally only took 60-90 seconds total.

Yep, did all that. Cydia and everything is on my homepage and I am using MyWy. Reason I asked is that, when showing a friend the page I went to, jailbreakme.com, the page gave me the oops, it didn't work - try again message. Does it give you the same message if you try to go to that page again? Thinking that page might be the default page for anyone that tries to go there again, successful jailbreak or not.

The page displayed that same thing for me when I went back to it to show my brother the site. My interpretation is that it was just an error caused by failed handling of someone visiting the site who had already been through the process.

Sorry guys but I don't feel like reading through 40 pages to find my answer... When you do the jailbreak do you loose everything that is on your phone?:confused:

So has the mms and FaceTime issues been fixed?
What is his twitter?
And is there a good jailbreaking forum?

This is the easiest jailbreak ever made.

You go to the website, it takes 60 seconds.

Have jailbroken two phones and absolutely
no problems or data loss.

Of course, you should always back up the
phone prior to performing a jailbreak.

comex u rock

 just opened the site took me less than two minutes to do the need full the best part wht i liked was my sleep button doesn't work so i never wanted to jailbreak but comex u made me do the jailbreak by the way i see some improvement in the battery
:apple:macbook pro 13, iphone, iphone3g

Jailbroke my Ipad after I backed up. I wasn't impressed with what was available. It turns something reliable into something not so reliable. The apps I downloaded didn't work most especailly Backgrounder so I could have multitasking kept saying backgrounder disabled. So I restored it. I will wait till they come out with official multitasking for Ipad in the fall which is just around the corner.

Hmmm. Hate to say this, but I don't think
you explored everything you could download
for that iPad via jailbreak.

I will leave it at that just. Perhaps someone
else will go down the dark road.
