It's the real deal, it's just that the servers are down! Comex said so...

Finally worked here. Yay!

with which site? jailbreak me or modmyi? what was the process (ie, how do we know if it's working)?

Jailbreakme. The modmyi site was way too slow (as usual) ...

Mine is jailbreaking now!!! Im so excited. I didnt realize you have to do it from the phone. You dont download and jailbreak from the computer.

Question. I have a 3G on 3.1.3 and the 5.12.01 baseband. It's jb'd and unlocked now but I used that Spirit.Fix.Itunes.9.2 thing that was never released on comex's site (his still said not to update to 9.2). It works fine but I"ve been a little paranoid that maybe someone screwed around with it and maybe left themselves a backdoor into the phone. I installed Firewall IP to try and monitor traffic in and out and nothing particularly suspicious has happened that I can see so far, but I still worry a bit.

Should I bother with this new release from comex to be safe or just let it be since everything's working? And if I sync with iTunes, that doesn't sync it in a jailbroken state, right? Any restore I do would just restore it to non-jb status and I'd have to redo everything?

Does anyone elses Cydia have the little red 1 next to it as though there is an update available but there isn't?

yesssssssssssss !!!!! :)

It is now officially Jailbroken iPhone4

Thank you @comex and all Dev Team
You guys ROCKS !

My iP4 on 4.0.1 is stuck on the apple logo.

I could not get the jailbreak to work. It wouldnt even download. So then I reset my cookies/history/cache and tried again. This time it downloaded, then it said "sit tight" for like half a second then went to the home screen. I tried this several times (reseting and jailbreaking) only to get the same result.

I then restarted my phone, and it is stuck on the apple logo. I did a hard reset and its still the same situation.
