I've been looking for a while. There's not even any mention of it in the forums (TPB, not ours).
While i'd love to free myself from my jail(broken) cell today, i just cant justify spending 100 bucks to do it.
Hopefully i meet someone who's a dev and wants to let me share.

In this context, will developers be able to release 3.0 ready/compatible updates PRIOR to 3.0's official release?
Can you even install it on your phone if you aren't in the developer program? For 2.0, you had to have your IMEI or something registered with Apple before the software would install after a certain time, although I think the initial release was able to install on any phone. You could downgrade though. You might be able to now if you did the DFL hack.

Hm... thats weird... because i just changed my wallpaper. And my icons... and both of those things are supported by apple. (except changing the finder and trash icons, that is)
so does anyone know if i pay for this will i be able to download the released 3.0 software when it comes out or will i be stuck with the beta on my only phone?
of course you will not be stuck with the beta. even if you were stuck with the beta it would continuously be updated until the release anyway -_-.
You cannot go back to 2.2.1 once you upgrade. It's explicitly stated on the 3.0 page.
It's "out there." If you know where to look you might be able to find it, I'm sure it'll be up on TPB sooner or later.

Yeah, I have it downloading too, but I don't know if I want to update. Pretty much everything that I use with my Jailbroken iPhone is in it (besides File viewing, Video recording, and themes), but I just don't like the fact that I won't be able to restore to 2.2.1. If anyone who has it installed would be willing to try to revert to a previous firmware, I, as well as many others (I'm sure), would be grateful.
If you PM me the link to where you are downloaded the beta, I would gladly install it and try to revert to 2.2.1
