I cannot believe I have to explain such basic things:
A claim about a technology being obsolete, backed up by using such parallels like the floppy discs ...
A claim that FW is obsolete (by way of the above) followed up by such nonsense that we should move "forwards" technology-wise and go to USB (which by any standards are USB 2.0 as we speak [well, type]) ...
... is a claim that the FW is "old, and obsolete technology" and that "USB is superior".
Further, you claim now that you have NEVER said to be a fan of Firewire, yet in you opening posts in our little debate, this is exactly what you say, before you go on to praise USB and the lowest common denominator.
I really don't want to continue down this path, where you claim one thing, and the next moment claim you never said any such thing. And I certainly don't want to continue a discussion where the opponent invents the meaning of words as he goes along an don't have a basic understanding of the tech, nor of the words he use. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it should have been the other way around: I'm the bloody dane, living in a country where we don't speak english natively –
I should be the one having difficulties in that regard.
This, however, warrants somewhat of a reply:
Also, and Lastly as I will not respond to any more out of work, unemployed wanna be Creative Guys.
This is how it always goes: Someone makes an ad hominem when they run out of arguments. And if they still have nothing to bring to the table, they will pretend in one ther consecutive posts that whatever they said was true and repeat the exact same statement for want of intellectual integrity. My take on that is that they'r unable to withtract such statements, but "perhaps if I repeat it, it might become true". Yes, people like that does come out looking quite dimwitted.
It's quite the paradoxical statement, though: You're the one who doesn't know what "obsolete" means – even after you looked it up and quoted the dictionary to me. You have no clue what you're saying and whether what you say is a logical fallacy and is showing ignorance of the audio industry (and other industries) as a whole – yet,
you're the one, claiming that I'm the wannabe, not to mention once again trying out an ad hominem to see if it fits your style – I'm sorry to say that it fits your style like a glove:
Dimwitted speculation based on something as tangible as pure fantasy.
P.S. As you can see, I haven't responded to most of your post, as I really find most of it to be an ad hominem and the stories about your life mixed with a slew of thinly veiled ad hominems, is - as usual - utterly irrelevant to your knowledge of, say, the audio industry.
However, it IS quite telling that one thing is your hobby, and the other thing you do (no matter how many employees you have – you could have thousands and it wouldn't make your arguments any better): having a party-company where you DJ and put up lighting, just shows that you need to widen your horizon and stop thinking like dj'ing is representative of the audio industry as a whole. If you had had thousands of employees, the ignorance would be even worse, though. I'll give you that.
