I agree with the General, I first JB and unlocked my iPhone 2G when it was 30 some steps and things didn't work as described and you had to restore 3 times, etc. It was a lot more fun and it made JB a bit more special.

Like General says if geo and the dev team had a JB in 1 day, obviously those instructions could be posted pretty easily for those of us willing or experienced enough to use. Just post a bunch of use at your own risks. I feel like those of us who could do the 30 step method are being lumped in with the noobs waiting for a 1 click solution which we do not need.

I know the dev team wants to impress with a 1 click solution for JB and unlock both and that will look fantastic when its released, but it would have been more impressive to me to post a JB method (admittedly 30 steps) day 1 of release instead of over a month later...

Your not being lumped into anything, you putting yourself in an undesirable position because you refuse to gain the skills necessary to do it yourself. If you wait for a hand out you have to take what you get. You can either bitch or learn how to exploit the iphone yourself. Your no different than a noob, you have no skills to jailbreak.

Edit: If "The General" was really a General, he would be marshaling his forces and creating his own exploit instead of posting whinny threads like a Private.

I didn't post this thread, but it's pretty funny how your only response is to make fun of my username.

First of all, this is my first post on the subject. I've waited patiently for a month since release. I'm not a software engineer, I have a different different career path but thanks for the career counseling. That said, I would be very happy to pay for a JB like most people. We don't need a handout, and everyone loves repeating/harping on the fact that its free so we should be patient or acquire the skills ourselves. If that is the issue, CHARGE, there is a demand here :)

Really though you missed the main point the General and myself are making with your blanket response (that has been repeated 1000x by the way, use a little creativity), which is the jailbreak has worked since day 1. Holding it hostage or working and working to make it a perfect 1 click solution is just frustrating to those of us who could process the 30 step jailbreak on day 2. That's an admirable goal, making it a super smooth 1 click solution, but in the meantime release the steps like it was in the original 2G JB/unlock days. It makes it more fun and lightens some of the pressure to deliver asap, and down the road you can release a nice polished 1 click .exe

I was really surprised at your response to the lack of no 4.0 exploit. You are one of the staples of the hack forum besides Aggie, Latinist and Applejuiced (hope I spelled those names right). To me it seemed out of character.

Don't worry he is incapable of free thought, he is repeating whats been said by 1000 folks before him :)

Yet it did not prompt you to gain the skills necessary to stop waiting for handouts. You are still here, waiting for the government cheese:D

I think he actually removed this - I can't find it in my saved twitter stream or online. Doesn't mean he didn't say it, just maybe curious as to why it's not online anymore :)

Bottom line is that I'm confused as to how we are all expecting people to act like more than 2 year olds that didn't get their way. I find these comments towards the dev team childish, selfish, and truly detestable - but I also fully expect them as I would from a child.

The worst of them being this guy:

entitlement anyone?

planetbeing need to scare the hell out of all of us and close his twitter and secretly release it like just a surprise! im just getting mad that all this kids are asking "when the jailbreak is going to come out?" *******!!!!!!!!!! if he hasn't posted on twitter or on a website what makes you he is going to tell you?! WE ARE ALL WAITING TOO!

i really don't understand what the problem is
i mean i understand being annoyed by people asking about the jailbreaks/unlocks all the time

but its THE FREAKING INTERNET!
not to sound rude or anything
they can just not post their profiles public and no one will be able to reach them
or just make a public profile/account and only check it when they feel like it

it is a free service...

Yeah, I'm not saying everyone is seeing things but that statement doesn't seem like it would come from him (judging by the nice guy in the youtube video)

Hey, does anyone know if the JB is done yet:D

I am being sarcastic incase anyone didn't read the whole thread....

I, along with some of the other posters on this thread, miss the old 1.x days when it was all Terminal commands and you had to shackle and unshackle one's iPhone to make it sync with iTunes. Making it all text command based would keep out all of the whiners and uneducated people that flood MR and other support sites.
