Same info as this post below. Seems sketchy and would price yourself out of the entire market it feels like.

Apple will promote the new devices' thinness and lightness compared to rival tablets and/or previous-generation iPads.
This is interesting, because currently they are roughly the same as the Samsung tablets. A substantial weight reduction would be nice, hopefully not just 5% or so.

1 TB SSD and 16 or 24 GB RAM, 13 inch OLED for about $2000 - OK, no worries as corresponding MiniLED goes for $1800.

These are the iPad Pro that should be compared to Mac Pro/Mac Studio. Niche use cases for the very few. The Air 12.9 will be for the masses wanting bigger displays.

PS. Too many here should never consider buying iPad Pro as they seem to be keyboard and pointer centric rather than touch centric. DS.

I hope base storage is 512gb
could be - the main value preposition is OLED and potentially 4 TB storage - I will go for the largest option anyway and I assume it'll be around $ 3 .. 4 k for 4 TB and 16 GB RAM and 5G - my current one is now almost 6 years old - a good lifespan and it's going to stay around for quite a bit
I'm a big Apple fan boy, but those prices are outrageous!!!
see - that's the difference between a fan boy and a user - I buy what makes sense not because I am a fan of something. In my company BYOD is allowed for Tablets and SmartPhones and I prefer having my own choice - after all I can deduct my gear at the tax office and get half of the money back within three years and the other half is just negligible at a reasonable level of income
No matter how much RAM or terabytes of storage they add in to justify the prices, it’s still an iPad. These prices are ludicrous.
are they? I think not - in case it is a great machine it will easily pay off with smaller, lighter and brighter design and hopefully 4 TB built in storage. The M3 is just nuts for a Tablet and I will love mine as I do with my 2018 iPad PRO - which is still screaming fast after almost six years of using it.
The new iPad will potentially feature 6k display support and HDMI 2.2 and WiFi 6E - will be a no-brainer IMHO

Especially when Samsung added OLED to the base 11" Tab S9, which has a similar price to the 11" Pro
The 2019 10.5” Tab S6 already had OLED. Samsung just paused OLED for the smaller diagonals for three years.

That's a hard no from me.

I actually find myself using my iPad (Pro) less and less every day. I am thinking about getting rid of it and spending the money on a weekend away somewhere nice.
what if you could do both?

Have a nice weekend or a week off and the best iPad PRO ever produced?

It is crazy how people react to price these days. Just do an analyzes if you need something or not. In case you don't need it every penny is wasted - in case you need it for work every penny is worth invested.
I never understood people buying something that they really don't need for work.
A normal iPad is just fine for every day casual gaming and email writing and internet surfing.

The iPad PRO will be the pinnacle of Tablet design and it will be probably the lightest and thinnest iPad ever.
Imagine you can leave your bulky and heavy company PC LapTop at home - that's my reason to get one

Insane, especially considering the M1 iPad Pro does not even get to take advantage of its chip.

I have had iPad 2, iPad 3rd Generation, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 10.5 and now the iPad Air 4 and this was probably my last tablet as I hardly use it. MacBook Pro for work (even though I am technically supposed to use my Dell laptop haha) and iPhone for leisure. Its just more convenient to me to use my iPhone than an iPad

Samsung tablet got OLED years ago and cost much less than $1000.

and is thinner than iPad Pro.

even the 14-inch starts at $1199 (an can regularly be bought for less)

Apple has to stick to the current (already very high prices): $799 for the 11-inch and $1099 for the 12.9. And if they want to launch a bigger one they can price it at $1299 but not more.

Just because you release something new it doesn’t have to carry a higher price.

no issues, Apple goes 1500, samsung will copy paste the business model

Ridiculous prices. Samsung do bigger & better!

I will be sticking to my Air 5 for the foreseeable future.

Money is not really an issue for me. Value is and I'd get more value from a weekend away.

I bought the pro for two reasons: for note taking, writing up coursework and for digital art. Thanks to the futzing around that goodnotes is currently doing, the fact it's vastly inferior to a bit of A4 paper and a gel pen and the lack of any other half decent software out there, that case was nullified quickly and I went back to paper and writing it up in LaTeX instead. The second part, digital art, is just inferior to actually getting your hands dirty. Rather have some copic markers!

As for travel, which I do a lot of, I haven't needed anything more than my iPhone. In fact anything else is probably too much.

Apple probably floated this rumor so when they actually start at $1199 (still a 50% increase) they'll seem cheap now.

why? They do whatever they like to do and personally I have no issue with any of these prices since I get it maxed out anyway - as I did with my last one - more RAM was only included in the biggest model and after six years of using it it's still more than fast enough. Just that it got only 1 TB Storage is a bit disappointing.

I hope for 4 TB storage
