So if you were to get a Kindle today, would the code be on it? Or is it random who gets what codes? Sorry, not familiar with this at all...

Thanks for the heads up on this. Is the code good for 20% off a single laptop, or would it allow you to add 2 to an order (both @ 20% off)?

How are you guys getting the CSR to send you the 20% coupon? Might be interested. Happy to order another Kindle for this.

My recommendation is to pick up the Kindle with Special Offers (KSO) in-store. You can find these at Target, Best Buy, etc. You NEED the device by Monday, and once you register the device with your Amazon account, you will find an advertisement stating "Save 20% off select computers" or something along those lines. This advertisement will show up on the bottom of your Kindle. Simply click it and follow the steps and it will email the code to you :)

I picked up my Kindle from Target today.. and if any of you have the intention to sell the Kindle afterwards... don't! Amazon has been very generous with their offers ($10 for $20 Amazon GC, 20-25% off cameras, 20-25% off HDTVs, etc). I think people were able to sell their HDTV code for hundreds on eBay. Crazy stuff!

Thanks for the tip; sounds like a great idea. Once you bought the Kindle, was the coupon available immediately?

I was trying to decide between the 11" i7 and the 13" i5... I suppose this made up my mind for me.

Yep! The email came within seconds of requesting it :)

Looking for a code as well. Hell, I'll paypal you 25 bucks for one today! I already have a kindle but not one with special offers so I'm not sure what I'd do with another. Hit me up!
Same here! I also have a Kindle (older model) and don't need a new one.

How do you know if the Kindle you are buying has the Special Offers? Does it state that at Target or Best Buy when you buy it?

Just got a base 11" air for 759.00. Not too shabby!

Wow, lucky you! That is a wonderful deal considering the fact that the 2010 refurbs are selling for 749.99 on Apple's website. I bought my base for $998 with tax and sold the education gift card for $90 and that still doesn't compare to the discount you got!

Yes. If you go to best buys website and search Kindle, you'll see specific models that say "with special offers".

No I mean at the store. I want to go down to the store and get it. Can you buy the special offer at the store?

i am going to pick a kindle tonight from walmart .... which one should i buy ? any kindly would work or do i need a specific one ?

A normal kindle is $139 and has no ads(it won't work for this). The special offers kindle is $114 and it is the one that you need if you want this deal.

Are you sure that everyone who gets a Special Offer Kindle will get the 20% off coupon? I would hate to buy one and not get the coupon
