I was wondering if this is just me, or if someone knows of a setting somewhere to fix this, or if Apple just dropped the ball...

In my car, I have a mount which connects to my stereo through the lightning port. Since updating, instead of opening the most recent music app, it seems to always start up the Music app. I don't ever use the music app, and it only has a few songs, this makes it amazingly annoying because it always starts playing the same song.

I used to be able to drive to work in the morning listening to a podcast or pandora, and then throughout do random things throughout the day including webpage video or embeded facebook video... and then once I got back in my car for the ride home it would usually pick back up with podcasts/pandora. Sometimes a video or something might resume, but usually it was pretty good.

If anyone knows of a way to get this back to the previous mode, or just have connecting the dock NEVER open the music app, that would be awesome!

    Thanks!

I'm in the same boat, only this is happening to me with Bluetooth. It always starts playing some random song in Apple Music even if the last thing I was doing was listening to a podcast or an audiobook.
