Fine here (6'5"), but easier in "zoomed" view mode (which I prefer generally anyway, in conjunction with text at the smallest setting).

About 6'1", could easily text one handed. Getting to the top, not so much, but reachability helped lots.

From my wrist to top of middle finger is about 8 and a half inches.

Wait until you are in an airport and try texting when you are pulling a bag with the other hand and are in a rush.

THATS when it gets interesting. Been there, done that!

Still love my HTC one max, but am looking forward to coming back to Apple after two years! 5.5 " here I come!

I have been browsing 4chan 1 handed just fine

But seriously, I have very large hands and I am able to text very easily one handed on the 6 plus BUT I am noticing that I am having to use my pinky for support on the bottom of the device and it is starting to hurt a little. I was used to using the 5S without using my pinky on the bottom. First world problem so I can live with it but wanted to throw my two cents in.

I'm 6'2" and I can't text 1 handed on my 5s. Can't wait to get home to my new 6+.

:apple:

Edit: I guess I can, I just hate it. I type much better 2 handed.

5'9" and can sorta do it. There are times when the stretch feels like I'm giving up a dangerous amount of grip on the phone.

But, most of what I want to type I can do with one hand, just not all.

I'm about 5'9" ... I can do it, but will take some practice to get better. But honestly, even with a 5s I would do text messages in landscape so I can two hand type faster.

I'm six feet tall and I can text on it with one hand. First thing I tried.

HOWEVER: I'm a bass player and I'm used to splaying my fingers out like that, so I'm not the average.

No issues, I'm a 5'5" woman.

Not got my 6+ yet but have been more concious as to how I do things on my phone.

I usually text with both thumbs so this isn't really an issue.

I used IMDB quite a lot and noticed that I usually do this one handed. This is also that I browse the web one handed. However I have noticed that I do this 2 handed sometimes as well. However not sure if this has been me trying to do this. Browsing news apps is all one handed however I think I will manage this fine on the 5.5.

I watch a lot of TV on my phone, Netflix, Sky Go, Amazon Instant Video etc usually in the evening in bed or when I am travelling for work. I was hoping to ditch the iPad mini for travelling which was a big reason for me going for this model.

I have been having some buyers remorse about my phone as I do have quite small hands but will wait and see what real life usage is like. If it is too big for me to comfortably use I will get the 4.7 6.

I have always wanted the bigger screen but I had some serious reservations about crossing to Android and really thought I would miss IOS. So happy to give the 5.5 a try and really hoping I like it.

One handed texting on +

why is everyone posting their height? surely u should be posting the size of ur hands??

Because you know - the taller you are the longer your....fingers are.

I'm 6'4". There is no way I can text one-handed with this thing unless I hold the phone really far down on the bottom with my pinky under it. Which makes the grip of the phone pretty unstable. Stretching my thumb to the other side is uncomfortable and nearly impossible otherwise. All of our bodies are different so I'm sure some people can do it but I'm having a hard time imagining how. Would love to see some videos of smaller people texting one handed on the plus.

* I should add that I'm 100% fine with not being able to do this. No complaints here with this awesome phone!

It'll be several weeks before I get my hands on one, but my 6mm thick polycarbonate dummy tells me that one important factor for texting one handed would be friction (and weight would also play a part). While my piece of plastic is very slippery - much like the real thing naked - I can tell that a grippy-ish case would make odd-angle finger support more forgiving.

Those of you with the actual phone, what do you think? Will a slim, grippy case make a good difference??

Not quite happening if I wrap my fingers further around:

I would say my hand size is medium at most.

You need to try it on a real device to get a good handle on the feeling with the depth and weight.
