Using a test model in the store, I was not able to text one handed. Am 6' tall, big hands. I really wanted the big battery and big screen but deal killer for me was phone not fitting into my suit jacket pocket horizontally. Cant have it stick out and putting it interior pocket seems awkward.

One handed texting is like "reachability". You can obviously get to it with one hand. The tricky part comes when you have to scroll through it, maybe hit edit at the top corner of the screen, etc after or before you text.

Really? That's weird to me. I don't wear suits anymore (thank GOD) but when I did I always kept my wallet in the inside breast pocket. If I wore suits today, that's where I'd keep my phone. Much less conspicuous.

Anybody can text on the plus one handed. You just have to adjust your grip style for a bigger phone.

You're Steviejobz, you should know the 6+ is the new pocket square.

I keep my wallet in there but I'd have to keep a wallet and a phone in there. I agree on conspicuous but just second nature to reach into a side pocket. But also in regular khaki slacks sitting with the plus was a lot more noticeable than with the regular 6.

Don't get me wrong, this was not a no brainer decision to go with the smaller one. The 6+ is ridiculously good looking but for my use every day would have required a lot of sacrifice. Also I though I could get away with not needing an iPad mini but thats not the case. Reading a book still isn't that great on the 6+ b/c it isn't that big

Yep, I held my neighbors, I didn't feel comfortable even trying to get it to a position in my hand to start texting one handed, I was worried it was going to drop out of my hand. Why I want to see video proof, want to see someone, without a case, standing over concrete trying to text.

Wow... You clearly have no idea what you're talking about because myself along with many others today had no trouble at all texting one handed.

Just because you can't doesn't mean nobody can, get over yourself.

messed with one in best buy... at 5'6-5'7 on a good day i can but maybe i have big hands for a little guy?

There is hope for shorter women if they have long fingers. I admit that my hand size is more on par with a 5'10"+ man (based on averages) but I played with a 6+ today and probably could text one handed if I needed to.

My personal usage is more two handed anyway outside of low-interaction apps, so to me it's really a non issue but one should really look more into finger reach length and hand length rather than height to determine if the phone may or may not be too big for you. Or, ya know, walk into an Apple Store and hold one, heh

I realize I'm freakishly tall at 6'4, but the plus can definitely be one-handed by those with big hands. Not a judgment here, get the phone that works for you.

6'5 smallish hands. I can type without an issue but the phone doesn't seem stable do to the length.

Well though i said i couldn't i tried again and i can, but i can barely get to the keys on the right side of the screen. Its definitely something i have to get used to, i just need to make sure i don't drop the phone haha.

I definitely need to take advantage of reachability

You'll learn; eventually you'll get comfortable with the balance of the phone and you'll be amazed at what you can do one handed while bouncing it around in your hand.
