I've probably seen the same "reviews" you have so far. I'm on the fence whether to sell my Pixel for it. I know I'll like the S25+ but will get tired of it quickly, tired of same old same old from the Big 3. If the OP13 delivers (specifically battery life and screen) I'd prefer to go with it. It is ridiculous that no phones from the Big 3 support AptX HD or Adaptive. Been a sore spot for me for several years.
What?! Sorry but your fishing bottle of barrel for bait if those are the only codecs youre after!

Snapdragon Sound and Snapdragon AptX Lossless both supercede any AptX before them! Aspire for better music and audio quality on your calls than AptX HD or Adaptive .. please. Eve. H2DC or LDHC5 is better than what you posted.

Btw Damsung suports LDAC and has for years.

Its good to have Options and that Oneplus 13 Ocean Blue is rocking style and preorder bundle oneplus Buds 3 Pro is a good deal!

I may wait for the Open 2. If price or the product isnt what I hope for then ROG 9Pro will suffice for me or 1+13 or Oppo Find X8 mini unsire yet. But eSIM & Snapdragon Sound/Lossless will be crucial for me.

For the life of me i don't get Y the "pixel" is just randomly mentioned as a consideration to any phone without any reference y it's considered? If any of the competent tried to sell u their product using 2-3yr old core SoC hardware performance there would be war!! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do people really use phone cameras like this? I'm genuinely curious. This is the most useless comparison for me. Digital zoom is digital, all photos are trash, the only question is which one is the least trash of them all?
Bruh there is hardly ANY phones with true Optical Zoom, and of them the focal length and use cases of said pics is VERY limiting, consideration of various subjects & if they're in motion.
If One Plus and Vivo are owned by the same company, why don't we get the really high end camera systems here in the USA?
Oppo, as well as Vivo have announced global shipping of their to products just not their Ultra's.

Oh I hear you 100%, AptX HD has been my go-to codec. I have Sony WH-1000XM5 for LDAC use. My earbuds support AptX Adaptive. I plan on getting the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro which support LDHC5 as well.

I have Denon PerL Pro earbuds which are incredible, I think they support AptX Lossless. Will have to check.

Does LDHC5 improve call quality that much?

Rather critical reviews of the 13 & 13R. Where the reviewer claims the 12 of Last Year is better than both.

He's in the UK. Here in the U.S. there's a charger in the box and I got the 16/512 version for $899 with $100 Best Buy gift card. Value varies by region I guess; I also never had the OP12. Last OP phone I had was OP7 Pro which is still my favorite phone.

He seems to be not aware that currently the 16/512 model is the same price as the 12/256 model of the OP13, so £100 off until early February, over here in the UK, plus a free gift.

In relation to these videos what do you think of the OP13’s ergonomics as there seems to be a lot of variation in views on this aspect in these reviews, especially when it comes to comparing it to the OP13R?

Yeah, at $799 including the gift card, for the 16/512 model that's a pretty great deal. I think the phone is very comfortable to hold. The subtle curves make a difference compared to the flat sides of the 16PM. I imagine the 13R is the same as iPhone / Galaxy / Pixel due to completely flat sides? I'm very happy that the screen itself is flat on the 13, but the curved edges help with comfort to some degree. My case for the OP13 is also curved on the sides to match the phone, also easier to hold compared to my iPhone with case.

Now if I can just find a good tempered glass screen protector I'll be happy. The included one is a step above the typical TPU films you can get on Amazon, it's pretty nice considering it isn't glass.

Yes incredibly so
Both LHDC 5 (SRY typo above https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LHDC_(codec) ) & AptX Lossless seems to require 3 mics per bud from all products I've seen lately. Ive read somewhere (cant leak source due to my employment restrictions thatvSnapdeagon Sound (which uses AptX Lossless) can switch to Wi-Fi for high bit-rate audio

I’ll put this here as it’s a related brand. It’s the review of the global version of the Vivo X200 Pro. Just with the OP models all the camera hardware appears to have changed from the prior model.

Just purchased One Plus 13. Should receive it on the 28th. Got the Blue color.

Wanted to try something different again, been using Samsung Android devices for way too long. This is also the first time giving this brand a try.

I am dying to get the OnePlus Open 2. I really enjoy the software of my Galaxy Z 6 but it FEELS so dated and the front screen is starting to annoy me. I keep catching myself using my 16 Pro more and more. I probably wouldn’t even notice it as much if I didn’t have the 16 Pro.

I am just wondering how much I’d miss One Ui

Am I reading this correctly… the Z Fold 6 feels dated in comparison to the 16 Pro?

You probably not taking advantage of what One UI has to offer… especially the Good Lock modules, multitasking, Edge Panel along with S Pen support. As much as I like what the OnePlus Open 2 has to offer in terms of hardware… software is as important.

IMO, there’s no smartphone out there that has more (software) features than Galaxy devices. And we haven’t seen what Samsung has planned for One UI 7 for the Z Fold.

I think these OnePlus phones are the best looking phones out there. Two negatives for me though: Too large and the concern of doing my banking etc. on these Chinese devices. Constructive comments are welcome.

No, I love One UI, that's what's stopping me from getting another Android device so far.

What I meant was the Fold 6 itself looks dated and bulky compared to something like the Honor 3 or the OnePlus Open 2 leaks.

Careful, can't bash Samsung here! 😁🤣.

Been looking into the OP 13 myself. Looks really good and plenty affordable. The only thing putting me off is the OS. I'm a stock guy, and hate this fascination other Android manufacturers have with just trying to rip off iOS.
Also have concerns about the camera as I think it would be a downgrade from the P9 Pro.

If this phone was available through my carrier (Verizon) in the U.S. i would get this in a heartbeat over the s25U.
My only concerns would be monthly security updates and OS upgrades.
It just looks like a beast of a phone! The camera is to die for.....

I agree.
I actually find it quite annoying that all these tech YouTubers (even UK ones like the Tech Chap) get this phone to review when the region they are based in has no plans to actually sell it to consumers.
It just doesn't make sense.

And then you have OnePlus, a sister company (if you will) who ship their phone without the same camera despite being practically the same?! I mean, I think the OP 13 is cheaper than the Vivo and that makes sense, and I'm sure the OP 13 is still great, but just feels like they're missing a trick not making it more widely available.

OnePlus Open 2 - 50W wireless charging and IPX9 rating and super thin has me ready.

AI does a great job with zoom. When I get a chance I'll test it on far away text. This camera is definitely just as good as the other popular flagship. Haven't been disappointed yet. I haven't changed any settings on the camera yet.
