Anyone that has the OPO 13…..Do you have some pics you can share?
Here's a portrait shot I just snapped of our dog.

soooo cute!
Thanks! I think the camera has improved after the big update that came last week. I'm getting terrific zoom results. See below photos, the focus is on the blue building just in front of the red one in center of photo. The zoomed out shot is standard 1x. Zoomed in further at 30x and then 100x. Text on the blue building is pretty clear.

See that’s what the problem of these rapid reviews. Because now the OP13 has upgraded camera performance but this won’t be reflected in any of these reviews.

It destroys my iPhone 16PM when using both at 25x zoom. Definitely improved since I took those earlier photos when I first got the phone pre-update. iPhone color is more accurate when just pointing and shooting. I'd adjust the tone on the OP13 in this one if taking a real photo.

Was thinking of getting one but seems i've missed out on the promotion for the free smartwatch

My Mini review of the OP13.

Battery Life: Yup, it's everything they claimed. Went a full day of moderate to heavy usage, at full screen brightness, 120Hz, and balanced mode. Started the day with full charge at 5:30am came back home at 7pm with 51% battery life left. Also love the fact they include the rapid charger, and it charges super fast. Standby life is actually better than my 16PM.

Under display FP sensor: Absolutely flawless!! I've never had any phone with a FP sensor under display this good. Although my experience is limited to Samsung and Pixel phones. The FP sensor on this is as good as a side power button sensor. I haven't had one hiccup yet, worked every single time. You really have to try to make it fail.

Call Quality and Data connection: Pretty much as good as all other flagships. No problems detected. Same with BT quality and range.

Display: Every smartphone (included iPhones) I've laid my eyes on, Samsung flagship phone displays always looks better for whatever reason. I would say the OP13 is matched or slightly better. It's really debateable. I do like the slight curve at the edge of the display glass, but if you like screen protectors this might be an issue. The raised display due to the edge curves does make things pop compared to a completely flat display. I used to love that about older Samsung phones.

Speakers: This is where the OP13 falls a little short compared to the competition. The speakers are good and has decent depth, but compared to my 16PM and previous Samsung 23 Ultra, it just doesn't reach the same sound richness. It's slightly better than my Flip 6. Overall still a good speaker for gaming, speaker phone, and watching video. But leaves me wanting more when it comes to playing music. I rarely play music on speaker, so I'm okay with that.

Speed: I don't know if it's the SD Elite chip, Oxygen OS, 16GB Ram, or all the above. I never had an OP device before to compare. But this is the fastest phone I ever had. From the beginning, every app I opened felt like it's cached, ready to use in less of a second. The OS UI also has that instantaneous feeling to it.

Camera: IMHO (cause I'm not a camera geek), the camera is neck to neck with all the other flagship phones when it comes to point and shoot. The artificial zoom is very good as well, but I personally think the S25 is going to beat it. Video is very close to being as smooth as the 16PM, but beats the 16PM with slow-mo quality. The color accuracy on both photo and video always comes very close or actual.

Some Features:
Love having the IR sensor again, haven't experience that on a phone since the Samsung Note days. The software for it is nice too. Gets the job done without anything fancy.

The toggle on the left is better than the silent toggle on previous iPhones. It's a three way toggle, Ring, Vibrate, and Silent. And it doesn't seem like I will accidentally toggle it, which would drive me crazy with iPhones.

Dual Sim options. You can use two physical sims or one physical and one e-sim. I'm not into dual sims anymore, but it's still a nice option to have.

IP69 rating. Not that I'm going to put it to the test anytime soon. But it's nice to know it's one notch above the usual rating for flagships.

Haptics is top notch on this phone. Like REALLY GOOD!!!

App Lock (Equivalent to iOS Require FaceID feature)

Home screen customizations are better than Samsung and Pixel phones.

Cons: There's not much I don't like about this phone. But here are some superficial things.

The File Manager is as basic as you can get. It's only real feature is Private Safe. There's no way to connect to network storage, which my iPhone and Samsung file manager can easily do. So I'll just have to install a third party file manager for that purpose.

Compared to Samsung and even the iPhone. Most of the default widgets suck. I had to purchase a good third party calendar widget.

ALL of the default wallpaper sucks!! Even the themes. 😂

Design: Looks nice and slim, like damn near every other slab phone. I do wish the camera module had some color to it instead of it being metallic. I do like that the weight of the phone seems evenly distributed, unlike the 16PM which is top heavy.

Notable mention: Apple music works flawless and is even more snappy than on my 16PM. Every other Android device I've had, Apple music would be somewhat laggy and sometimes just crash. This means a lot to me as I canceled my spotify account a month ago.

This is my secondary phone which I carry almost every day. Was using a Flip 6 for compactness, since my main phone is the 16PM, but the thinner display and viewing through polarized sunglasses just wasn't cutting it anymore. I use my second line almost as much as my main line.

Overall: Pretty much checks all the boxes I want in an Android phone and does everything very well. The speakers is probably it's lowest point, but it's still a decent speaker.

Feature packed without being too obvious about it. Which is a slight pro and con. Because some great features I feel are too hidden. But then I enjoy not being slapped in the face with too many features like Samsung does.

This phone just might make me take a look at the next One Plus Open if the battery and camera specs aren't gimped.

How would you say the speakers would be for spoken word podcasts rather than music?

Great write up, I’d have to agree with your take.

Regarding the sound, did you switch the sound settings from whatever the default is to “music”? After doing this vocals from music as well as YouTube videos sounded much more full. Doesn’t match my iPhone 16PM as you stated above, but the sound is damn good in my opinion.

Yea, I tried that as well. But it has more of an artificial depth to it. With Youtube videos (even music videos), the lack of depth is less noticeable. But when playing or streaming lossless audio, it's more noticable. And the 16PM does beat it either way. It's still a good speaker though, but the mainstream flagships have it beat.

So you don’t think it’ll match the S25 Ultra in areas such as the speakers, and audio playback then?

OnePlus 13R Vs OnePlus 13: Which One To Get?

I have to admit the 13R looks a pretty decent handset for the price.

This is the phone the Fold 2 would have been based on before it was cancelled by OnePlus. This phone will be available globally. But I believe Oppo phones are hard to find in the US. That said I know from what he’s said at least one US reviewer has one.

Here’s a review from a UK reviewer.

Well that’s disappointing in spite of giving it to UK reviewers it’s not being launched in Europe or seemingly anywhere outside of Singapore & Malaysia from what Oppo said. That’s just bizarre.

I don’t understand this company, they denied after they cancelled the Fold 2 that they were exiting the foldable market, yet here we have the Oppo equivalent device seemingly only being given a very limited release. They may not be exiting that market segment in China, but it sure looks like they are outside of China.

Has anyone ordered the OnePlus Watch 3?
I want to for the stated battery life alone but it looks like some of the key health features are not approved by the FDA here in the States and no telling if or when they will be. Plus I still think the Watch Ultra is a better looking device and will just work more seamlessly with my S25U

The most important part of this review is at the beginning when he reads out at statement from Oppo confirming the Find N5 will not be released in Europe, which he assumes includes the UK. From what he also says it sounds like this was a last minute decision as he seemingly was expecting it to be released in Europe.

Really sucks that this won't be released in Europe or the US. I was really looking forward to this one. Looking like I'll set my sights upon the Z Fold7 or Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Really loving what Samsung has done with OneUI 7. Fold 7 looking like it might be a winner for me.

I honestly don’t know what OnePlus are thinking here.

Does anyone here have the OnePlus Pad 2? I have heard good things about it.
Does anyone have one and want to share their thoughts?
