Seriuosly..Apple didn't inform us at all about how everything is going to work! Everything we got were unconfirmed rumors. If they mess around and introduce a new system, then explain this ****!

I ordered 4 and I'm going to raise hell if they cancel any of them. Had they stated up front that it was a limit of 2 per household/account/apple id (whatever) then I would have ordered 2 on my girlfriends account when shipping what still 4/24-5/8 rather than ordering all 4 on my account.

Has anybody who had an order cancelled asked for proof of their 2 per household policy?

I agree, I would have done the same as ordered the third on my wife's ID!! I will be livid if I stayed up and they decide to pull this BS.

The two per person thing appears on the desktop version, but that's it!

You cant get the warning on the app. The ONLY way you can get warned on the app, is if you try to check out on the app with items placed from the desktop

I called the 08000480408 number to clarify and it was an absolute CLUELESS woman, she said she couldnt say whether or not one would get cancelled, and i was just to watch.

I told her its all a bit unfair considering a bug in the app stopped me from being warned about any limits, had i known id have got hubby to get his own!

The limit warning is not really advertised, I feel like it's a little unfair to retroactively limit to 2. They should have made it so you couldn't even order above the limit.

It was in this article yesterday:

http://9to5mac.com/2015/04/09/apple...nch-period-expects-demand-to-outstrip-supply/

Quote from Tim Cook in that article:

A number of units will be delivered on the 24th but it is unlikely every unit ordered tomorrow will be delivered on the 24th. This depends on how many units are ordered for a specific SKU compared to the supply we have of that specific SKU. This isn’t different from other new products. Sometimes demand exceed supply for a period of time. I can assure you we are working around the clock to get as many units to customers as fast as possible.

There will be an order limit of 2.

The Badger fans and team were very classy. Of course, I loved the outcome but it was one of those games either team could have won.

Tim

I agree this info should have been more obvious, especially during the order process.

It's all a little hazy to me because honestly I feel hungover from having my sleep cycle shot to hell last night, but if I remember correctly when ordering through the Apple Store App last night/ early this morning (3:02-ish a.m. Eastern Time in USA) as he was entering orders, my husband mumbled that he could not enter a second watch on the order so he went ahead and made our watch orders three separate orders. It sounds like there were a lot of bugs and inconsistencies in this process as everyone seems to have had varying experiences and success with it. His business contact at the local Apple Store said our orders should be fine.

I appreciate Apple trying to thwart scalpers but I agree there should have been very prominent notices about any limits on the order and item pages themselves and other unmistakable barriers to permitting multiple watch orders to go through. It is horrid to find out so much later after delivery dates have been pushed back beyond reason that a seemingly confirmed order has been rejected.

I'm talking about documentation anyways. All the Tim quote says is "there will be aN ORDER limit of 2". Doesn't say anything about 2 per household or apple id or credit card. Just a limit of 2 per ORDER. I we were to take that quote literally then technically I have 1 per "ORDER", just 4 separate ORDERs so I should be good. I suppose Im putting the cart before the horse at this point since none of us have actually had our orders cancelled but it just gets me fired up thinking that apple would even do this.

I am on the phone with them now asking about it ... and I am thinking it might have been a mistake to ask. Now they are asking me all sorts of questions like who are they for, are they personal use, etc.

I've been on hold for a long time now ... I really hope they aren't canceling my orders :(

I think some people HAVE had orders cancelled though, I can't remember if in this thread or the other. Some have had them cancelled by Apple, some have willingly cancelled to make sure they have control over which ones they lose.

I usually give Apple the benefit of the doubt, on average, but this part feels like a clusterf---. I wonder if they didn't decide on that '2' figure and didn't lock it down properly till the last possible moment (if at all) because they really had no idea what demand would look like.

"Ok, people ARE ordering them, start enforcing the vaguely worded limit."

Yes, you couldn't, and still cant, add more than 1 watch to your cart on the app. You can only add 2 watches to your cart on the desktop and then 2 will show up in your cart on the app.

If they say they have to cancel any of the orders, ask for official documentation stating the limit before then cancel.

I have orders on 2 IDs but to same address. They will probably find them?

The problem with this policy...two of them are for JUNE. Why would you limit us for June watches???

OMFG DO NOT CALL THEM! They canceled my order for the 3rd one! The automated system appears to look at quantity in a single order. But if you call them they review all of your orders and randomly cancel one. They did NOT give me an option!

They said it was too late and I can't do anything about it.

Sorry to hear that. Did you order all 3 on the same order or separate orders?

That is shady. Its like they thought you were trying to cause a problem on purpose :( im sorry!!!

Do you reckon single orders would have been ok otherwise if you didnt phone?

VERY shady ... I asked where the limits were posted and they couldn't come up with an answer. I asked why they didn't at least give me an option on which to cancel and she said that isn't their policy. In fact she wasn't the one who canceled it, the team that handles the orders did it.

:eek::eek: I only ordered one but feel your pain. Was it one you were seriously considering?

Strong maybe ... I told them I had 3 orders and they started getting all nasty about who I was ordering it for. I explain it was for room mates but that wasn't enough.

The call took 30 minutes and in the end I got screwed :(

 thanks for the warning. One of our 3 orders is a birthday gift for my husband's sister. We don't want that cancelled!

The IPhone 6 plus PreOrder was our very first Pre Order fiasco but that was through Verizon. And we did get out orders in the end.

THIS, though...it's one thing to limit scalpers. I guess they thought you were a scalper but I don't know. It was just 3 orders. That's not unreasonable for one household.
