I may get by just on dumb luck. I ordered 4 all together, all 4 separate orders, 2 on 1 card and 2 on another card just because I was afraid that my cc company might not let the 4 orders process on the same card because they might have thought it was fraud. Fingers crossed.

It's also odd that people and one in particular were hired for millions of $$ to head up what should be an enviable retail experience. Instead we were left with murky rules, inconsistent customer experiences and glaring omissions in logic such as this, that one would not expect of people supposedly qualified to command multi-million dollar salaries. It is shocking that it's the little things that are adding up to customer anxiety and dissatisfaction.

Maybe they just needed another week to prepare for this.

Well, the thing is, they had plenty of time to prepare for how this should be introduced. They needed a solid communication and launch plan. They could have established best practices and guidelines for this months ago. Last year, even. Then, when the watches were ready to launch? Set the plan into action.

It's all weird.

You're right. Major fumble on their part.

Hi. I'm going to drop out of this conversation. Right in the middle of it I got a call from my dad that my mom was just diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. My dad himself just beat two different types of deadly cancer that took other friends from us

Somehow now I don't really give a flying fig what Apple does with our 3 watch orders. If they call to say to cancel one they can cancel all as far as I'm concerned. Perhaps I was silly to ever care in the first place. But I love my tech toys!

I'll read to see how this is going. Good luck to all other legit multi-order customers.

Thanks everyone for the polite and engaging discussion here and the advice and warnings.

Hope that your mom beats it too GrumpyMom, really do. It's when you hear news like this when everything is put in to perspective. Good luck to you and family.

Thanks guys. Just told my 10 yr old. Gawd. Wish I'd skipped the preorder and got a real nights sleep last night. My head is mush. Ok signing off to research more important things. Take care everyone and good luck.

I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts, GrumpyMom.

Ordered three (was always going to cancel one, backstory is in other threads), cancelled one, two orders still active, still biting my nails. The fact that I ever HAD three might make me a target.

I think they have multiple methods of matching, but I think everyone who reported cancellation so far ordered > 2 on one ID.

I ordered 6 on one credit card and one Apple ID and did not get any cancelations. Six separate orders. Before people flame me, I am not reselling. Different models for my roommate and I

Ok. I need 3 watches for family members. Do you think I would be ok ordering 2 on my ID and 1 on another ID? The CC will be different, but the address will be the same.

It's really hard to say. If I needed to defeat the two watch limit, I'd be using different ID, different credit card, and different shipping address. I mean, at that point I'd probably just have one of my apple hating coworkers (bunch of hipsters) order me one and reimburse them.

ordered two watches last night seperate orders, 2 bands and extra chargers also on seperat orders. This afternoon wife says she wants sport with white band so not knowing the 2 limit I odrdered her the sport one. Got emails from apple tonight canceling all of my orders except her spot (3rd watch ordered and one other watch from last night)

All the accessories (set to be delivered 4/29-5/12) all cancelled, which makes no sence, because they didn't have a limit, and the watch Apple decided to cancel was not the third watch I had ordered, but the first watch that was set to be delivered (4/24-5/8)...Now I am left with 4-6 weeks and June.

Called and was told that they may also get cancelled becasue I went over the two limit, already pissed if they cancel those other watches I may just wait until 2nd gen.

Was also told I can reorder the bands, but they are not going to deliver 4/29-5/12 which I had. They said there is no way to reinstate my old order, nor had a reason as to why bands (on their own order) and a charger got cancelled just because I ordered three watches.

I'm fine with limits, but they should be told to us up front, or don't allow 3rd watch or if you do then cancel them in last ordered 1st cancelled.

This may be the worst handled new product launch that I can remember.

Really sorry to hear it. The reason I'm hanging out on this thread is that I also briefly had three active orders (cancelled the third at about 9am) and part of me is still waiting for the bomb to drop.

I cancelled my third order after reading the updates in this thread. I was nervous they would choose at random and I was afraid I would lose my 4-6 week time on the SS Black, which is now out to June!

When I order two or more of any Mac computer or iOS device, I always place one order per device. That prevents a host of potential problems and speeds things up. More than one per order even if allowed will cause the order to be held if one of the items isn't available.

Was everything on the same CC?

Thanks, Bunnicula. We hope that because she gets checked regularly since this is her second run with breast cancer that they got this early like they did last time.

By the way Bunnicula I went back to SS and gave up on Sport partly because of your influence. In a good way. The TL/DR story of how my husband and I made our orders last night was pretty comical with us being two sleepy grumpy people and me undecided to the last few seconds!

Wow, I can't believe what I'm reading. It doesn't sound like this is too widespread yet. I hope it stays that way. It's terrible that it's happened at all.

Last night when we placed our first 2 orders the web site didn't say anything about limits. Hubby says he was sure about that. He just noted it was simply not even processing orders that had only 2 phones at a time so he did them separately. Our first two orders were over by 3:10 a.m. at the latest. And he was at work all day and half the night actually working so he didn't hear a blasted declaration from Tim Cook about limits. Really it should have been plastered all over the site from the very first.

The third order was placed around 3:30. That was my husband's. It took him awhile to get over being ticked off that the dates were pushed back so far and so fast on the space Grey sport he was originally trying to order. (I did warn him it would be the most popular but he was generous in getting his sis and wife taken care of first).

Our only emails so far say that our orders are "processing" which reminds me of our AT&T fiasco all over again. If they are canceling on people this evening and tomorrow that is so far out of line it defies all bounds of reasonableness. (I hope that's a word--autocorrect has given up on me by now if it is not a real word). Not that they haven't already crossed it with the way some of you folks have been treated.

Our ordering of the IPhone 6 plus at launch was another debacle where we thought we had secured our orders only to find we and all other AT&T customers who ordered with us were thrown willy nilly into a pile rather than an orderly queue. But that was on AT&T.

This is all Apple and on a brand new type of product. They're not some new upstart. I expected better of them.
