OpenAI Launches Official ChatGPT App for iPhone and iPad

Does OpenAI still require my cell number? I’d be interested in trying ChatGPT out, but I’m not giving up my number for it…

When trying to creat my account I get it flagged as potential abuse, go to the Help like it asks.
Help gives me a link in chat to try it again (in Safari) and I get the following alert (in Safari):

Crazy.
I think I’ll skip this mess for now.

Maybe it’s because you’re using a VPN or iCloud Relay?

I had to click the direct link from my phone. Couldn't find it in search.

So far it works damn good as an A.I. And is super fast. But kind of sucks in the information department, as it says it doesn't have real time access to many topics.

Same, there are so many fake ChatGPT-powered apps that populate first, I legit had to find an article that directly linked the app, so that the browser opened the App Store right to it. Otherwise I couldn’t find it, lol.

Had an account. opened app, signed in. Good to go. Now, If the AWU didn't take forever to update, I could start to play with the new stuff.
 
This app has my 14PM getting hot (not warm). I never felt it this hot without it being directly in the sun on a hot day. As soon as I closed the app, it cools down. No cool down pop-up or dimmed display, but I felt the heat through the official Apple leather back case.

So far the only things I did was ask it to write a couple of songs and raps for fun, and some random questions.

Anybody else's iPhone getting hot with this app?
 
I think I'll wait a bit before I sign up (or whatever). Seems like it's got issues, according to some post here.

No rush
 
Meanwhile, I've just been using the actual website this whole time, it's been pretty easy and seamless, and doesn't really ask for much info.

Now, maybe if there was a way to replace Siri with ChatGPT, I'd be more tempted to use this app. 😛
